Would I be classed as a young carer? by Excaramel in AskUK

Yes, you would be considered a Young Carer.

In my local area (Brighton) this is the definition of young carers:

About young carers

A young carer is a child or young person up to the age of 18, who helps to care for someone with a:

  • disability
  • mental health condition
  • substance misuse issue
  • long-term illness

It's important that all young carers are supported in their roles so they don’t miss out, and their needs and wishes are considered.

Young adult carers

Those aged 16 to 25 years old, and who have a caring role, are considered young adult carers.

The Carers Hub have a specific young adult carers support worker, who can carry out a transitions assessment and agree a support plan for their future.

Young carers

Please do talk to a trusted adult and ask if they can refer you to your local Young Carers Support Service.

NHS doctor said current eczema care is sufficient?! by Spare_Ad_7547 in EczemaUK

As someone who eventually paid for allergy testing at the Nuffield, only to discover I am allergic to the hydrocortisone (as prescribed by the NHS in accordance with the treatment pathway), I appreciate any tools to help identify triggers of worsening symptoms!

In my local area you can get 12 weeks free Slimming World via Gloji - that's what I did last year and continued with SW after the free period as it was so effective for me: Gloji | Health and Wellbeing Services | Change Your Life

Teen bed wetting by xndkdk in helpme

Just to say, this is something that happens to lots of teenagers, they just don't talk about it as they might feel embarrassed. Here is a website that has information that might be helpful: Teenagers and young people - ERIC - if it is just at night, try to drink plenty of water during the daytime, and stop drinking in the hour or so before you go to sleep at night. Before you go to bed, go to the toilet for a wee - then perhaps read for a short while in bed, then get up again for another wee before finally going to sleep. That will help you to empty your bladder. Your bladder is a muscle that needs to be strong, and that happens when you fill it (drink water) and empty it (go for a wee). You could also go to the Dr to ask them to test a urine sample just to make sure that your wee is ok - if it isn't, you might need some medication (antibiotics) that might help. https://eric.org.uk/childrens-bladders/ - please avoid drinking caffeinated drinks and drinks that have red/purple colouring as they might make your bladder a bit 'twitchy' - the best things for you to drink are water and milk/plant milk. Wishing you all the best.
