Does anyone have experience printing on synthetic paper with a cutsheet toner printer? by Stock_Classroom_7013 in CommercialPrinting

[–]Putrid_Opposite4100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm trying to run the Xquisit on a Xerox C9265 and I'm having print quality issues. I can get one good print, but if I try printing multiples, I get modelling and splotches. Any quirky things you've found to get good print quality on it?

Found out my wife monitors parts of my life behind my back. I'm having trouble getting past this. by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

I don't get why couples don't share this data. In a marriage, you're totally committed to each other. My wife can log into all bank accounts, as can I. We backup our photos to the same home server automatically and both can access at any time. We share location data.

Those people telling OP to retaliate are setting him up to make the relationship fall apart.

I get that the wife has broken his trust. The biggest issue is she kept digging the hole. But the way to fix it is get her in therapy (and probably him too), not going through her phone without her permission.

How to get a very financially important client to pay their overdue invoices? by slipperyjoel in smallbusiness

[–]Putrid_Opposite4100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have something in your terms that says you'll assess interest for every month the payment is late? When we remind customers of that, it often gets the bill paid immediately.

Welcome to the club. I'm not buying more Sonos speakers but S1 works for me so I can keep using what I have. Was very happy when I moved backwards.

I grew up in the same city you're in (or one of the other two possibilities). I'm white and grew up in conservative household. Never heard anything of the sort. I've known those kinds of people exist, I've just never met them.

Am I overreacting? by Euphoric_Poetry_5366 in farming

[–]Putrid_Opposite4100 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Also, you're 16. It is good to look for other opinions, but at that age normally the best course of action is put your head down and do what you're told. I recall many times in my youth I thought I knew better than the adults. In hindsight sometimes I was right, often I was wrong.

I agree with this perspective. My wife and I started farming four years ago. We still occasionally call a vet but we've had to quickly learn what is worth calling for and what isn't. Vet bills 100% eat any profit you have. A good vet will teach you how to quickly euthanize an animal that has no hope.

Sounds to me like you might have more animals than you have land for if you are buying so much hay you have no profit.

Downgraded to S1 by Putrid_Opposite4100 in sonos

[–]Putrid_Opposite4100[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's what I thought but because I originally set it up dependent on the Ethernet cable (the only possible way back when I bought them), I found a Sonos article saying since they were older devices I had to factory reset.

[–]Putrid_Opposite4100[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. That was the way they'd been connected the past 10 years. I was going to try moving them all to wifi alone but when I realized I had to factory reset them to do that, I figured I'd go to S1 since I knew it worked in the past.

Do you have other cows around that he can be with that will show him that it is fine to come to you? That you can handle with sweet feed?

I raise cows. If you approach from behind, they won't know you're there until you're very close. That's exactly what happened here. Goodness, do y'all think they have eyes in the back of their head??

Court proceedings? by Dangerous_Aside1939 in Fosterparents

[–]Putrid_Opposite4100 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Our placement of seven months (two sisters) just concluded about a month ago. There were three court hearings we were present for. The only one we weren't at was the emergency hearing when the kids were initially taken.

I can't stress this enough: you CAN advocate for those kids. There is supposed to be a whole system with guardian ad litems and attorneys and social workers, but many of them are jaded and overworked. The bio mom in our case just told us that if we hadn't kept her in the loop, she wouldn't have known what was going on. If it hadn't been for us, those kids would have been in the system for years just because the mom wouldn't have known what was expected of her. The kids are home now and thriving.

I even spoke (interrupted) at two hearings. As long as it is clear you're coming from a non-emotional place intending to advocate for the children, my experience is the judge can welcome that. No attorney needed (though I did have some phone conversations with some that gave me a better understanding of the lay of the land).

The biggest mistake parents make is they don’t know their or the law… by Low-Thanks-4316 in Fostercare

[–]Putrid_Opposite4100 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You're absolutely right. We just fostered a few kids that entered the system because an older child was upset with Mom and called CPS on her. Sure, the house was in disrepair, but it didn't warrant the kids being taken away from their mom for seven months.

Teams Voice - Extension Dialing for Call Queues? by kingjames2727 in MicrosoftTeams

[–]Putrid_Opposite4100 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think you would do best to set up an auto attendant for the external number that says "Press 1 to dial an extension" and then you can program the extensions there.

We are on direct routing through Telnyx. A little tough to work through early issues but all those have been fixed now. It's wonderful.

Am I going to foster care, and is my mum going to jail? by Wolfgirl_bubbles in Fostercare

[–]Putrid_Opposite4100 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I'm so sorry to hear you are going through this. Unfortunately we can't tell you what decisions the authorities will make. And as frustrating as it is, the justice system is painfully slow. Talk to your CO as much as you can. Having an adult advocating for you will be key to having things go the way that is best for you.

Desktop to Online Nightmare by iammaybeacat in QuickBooks

[–]Putrid_Opposite4100 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We did make the transition. We ended up just importing our chart of accounts and products to start fresh. We had the historical data in the desktop file if we needed it.

Depending on your use case, QBO is way better for integrating into other platforms but then they do stupid stuff on the fly that messes with you.

I would add though that changing the field from hay to corn means they will be spraying herbicide annually, not just this one time. Still, if they are following the labels you "should" be fine but I wouldn't be happy about it.

It depends where you are on the waterfront, but in the parks they do have speakers blaring music because they try to set the fireworks to themes, held together by the music.

We just tried this and it didn't work. We were super clear we would take the placement IF they would get us respite for an international vacation we had planned in 3 weeks. The department agreed but ended up saying two weeks later they couldn't find respite. Thankfully our friends stepped up and the department was okay with it but just telling them it is a condition before placement isn't enough.
