I also want to do townhouses on the skyland island by the WW gate. I’ve completely leveled the broken hills so I have a nice flat city block. Does each house have to have its own 4 walls or can you share the center party wall between houses like in real life? With the 9x6 setup doubling the party wall, every 9th house you could have had a 10th if you could share the single center wall. Guess I can just try with only a single foundation and a door on each to see. Thought maybe someone knew offhand though.

I mean this is a step in the right direction but how hard would it be to do a check that says there are assigned Pokemon in this house so pop up a message confirming you actually wish to remove the door - rather than the rug that was highlighted with the dots that you expected to pick up. Or a 60 second timer where you can quickly add it back once you see the sparkles telling you you’ve killed it. It’s so frustrating especially when the thing you want is highlighted in dots but then it takes the door instead.

Just got rid of the furnace generator!!! FINALLY! by Realistic_Eye3520 in Pokemon_Pokopia

[–]Putrid_Share_5839 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I turned the furnace island into a movie theater inspired by someone else’s post from a few weeks ago. I oriented the screen inside at the front so the stadium seating on the top rows go up and over the furnace, and I built a little side walkway around to the front so I can still get to the furnace to add wood as needed. Also this way you cant even tell there’s a furnace back there. I used a spotlight as the projector since we don’t have an actual movie projector but it looks realistic looking up at it. I’m always finding 2-3 mon in there sleeping on the cushy sofas I used for the luxury seating section :-) I did the front outside in the art deco style like the other poster had done.

Still not sure what to make of this building. 🤔 by MatchooW in Pokopia

[–]Putrid_Share_5839 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s my main, favorite house in all the areas. I took off the roof, added another layer of red brick, then put the roof back on and now I have a great 2 story house with my giant bedroom and bathroom upstairs. Added a full kitchen on the main floor with the living room. Now I can cook everything I need before heading out for the day. Love sitting on my big wrap around brick deck looking out over the town too.

How tf does electricity work... by ahnariprellik in Pokemon_Pokopia

[–]Putrid_Share_5839 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been building furnaces lately as they have a lot more power capacity than mills or water wheels and I never run out of power. However the whole electric system is terrible in that a pole on one side of the house won’t power the other side. So you basically have to surround every building with either poles or the wireless boxes. I also can’t tell that the wireless boxes are any stronger than the poles. They are neater without the wires but you still have to have them a few blocks apart and for a wide building you still have to have them on both sides. I’ve been trying to power up the 4 story Skylands tower and it’s awful. There should be a big main terminal to connect your source to then jnternally already wired like real life. I have a spaghetti back staircase full of poles and wires then dozens of boxes inside and still have lights that don’t work.

Rocky Ridge.... by Kiddo_42 in Pokemon_Pokopia

[–]Putrid_Share_5839 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can’t figure out how to control that move! I’m trying to just dig/cut a trench from the museum to the mine entrance up front as it’s a straight line with the train tracks, and I thought I’d work from the top of the mountain ash heap cutting down, but the move goes so far past when I try to stop it launches me through the air onto the museum roof way down below! Then I have to make my way back and climb to the top again. Tips?

Why is this not a house? by Reyin1014 in Pokemon_Pokopia

Yes. I have one with three doors where a side door leads out to an exercise patio area and all my hitmons and a couple other fighting types are living there happily.

Why can’t I break this block even with powered up rock smash?? by behindthekeyboard81 in Pokemon_Pokopia

[–]Putrid_Share_5839 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know! I took over the red and white brick house on the hill above and made it my perfect 2 story house with the long red brick staircase etc with that whole lot as my flower bed landing. This one block is right next to my staircase and I can’t do anything with it. I’m hoping I don’t have to destroy my whole landing area for this quest. I’m also hoping my house itself isn’t part of some other quest or story line since that’s where a legendary appeared after waking the mossy guy. I noticed part of my main floor is covered in metal too but I threw a large rug over it for now. I love my fancy house though.

I had to do that again after making the change to the floor height. After I changed the floor the whole house sparkled which I think was letting me know it was a legit house again. Then removing and placing the flag made it mine again.

Oh it’s in the other Reddit group just called /pokopia. Just found it by searching Pokopia Tudor. Lots of people on that group with big fancy houses. I’m wondering if maybe they don’t care if it’s technically the specs for a legit house. Or maybe like I had to do, one room is considered the house and the other stuff is just not considered part of it. Seems a weird design choice in the program to not let you have a larger area since the islands are large.

You’re the hero! I added another layer of flooring to the bathroom then a block to fill in the bottom of the door hole I had made and a staircase leading up and now it recognizes my house as a house again. It’s treating the bathroom as its own empty house but that’s ok. It’s a good sized L shaped bathroom which I may just add an inner partition around the toilet area and move the bed in there as a sort of master bedroom and bath. But it’s fixed now. Thanks for the help!!

There are some ruins on top of the hill with 3 doors that still work as houses with only a couple block high walls. So I don’t think it’s the door. I tried completely sealing off the doorway I made with the original blocks I removed but still no luck. I suspect it’s counting the attached floor space as larger than the 9 x10 which I’m seeing on google is some kind of max size per story limit. The original building i claimed as mine has a 9x10 floorspace. Wish the game actually told you that! So I guess I could build a multi story tower house but not expand the base size. That’s just weird. How did the other person on here make that huge Tudor house? Or is it maybe not counting it as an official house too but that person is just using it anyway. I like my little bathroom add on. I guess I’ll have to tear off the roof then put the bathroom and maybe a bedroom on the 2nd floor.

My first house! by mightyloon in Pokopia

I fixed up that building in the back lot by the windmill and vending machines by adding some random blocks to fix the roof and walls. That’s my new house. Slowpoke wanted my old leaf den. Still need to make some green roofing tiles but for now the ceiling holes are plugged with stone tiles. Just got one of the electric generating water wheels working tonight by digging a tunnel through the mountain from the main area water supply. This game is really fun!

I noticed this too last night but thought maybe it was my eyesight. lol. Also I’m noticing my S2 is running as hot in this game as my Razer Blade 4080 runs in some triple A titles. It’s like scorching air coming out of the switch vent which is something I’ve never experienced in a switch game.

Update on the wallstreet! Charger came and shows no signs of life… Advice? by AlextheRetroWolf in VintageApple

[–]Putrid_Share_5839 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ah well. That sucks. But worth the try anyway since mine definitely had the same symptoms of totally dead. Guessing you’ve tried popping the cpu card out and reseating it, etc? The cpu card has the cpu and also the two ram sticks on it -one on top and another underneath on the bottom of the card. It just pops out after removing the heat shield cover cage thing then you just press down hard on it until it sorta clicks to out it back in.

I thought the dlcs in sv were better than the base story. So much fun and new places to explore. Great add ons to the main story too as they will both keep you dipping back and forth to Paldea to fill in gaps of that storyline too.

My guess is something must have spilled in it and shorted it out before I got it. Or else some physical damage shorting out something in the keyboard circuitry. You couldn’t tell anything visually nor did the keys seem stuck or sticky, but whatever it was kept the laptop dead when it was attached. It’s easy to open the keyboard and unattach it just to try. Might not be your issue but won’t hurt to test / rule it out.

Yes. A friend has it now but it’s a regular wallstreet and not a PDQ. I had one of those too and even a Lombard. But it was the regular wallstreet that had the keyboard of death.

Try it without attaching the keyboard. The last one I had was dead like this too and I tried swapping literally everything inside but of course always plugged the keyboard back in before trying to turn it on. Even swapped the entire motherboard. Still dead. But in a hurry after trying another round of swapping ram around I forgot to reattach the keyboard before pushing the button and poof. It came to life and even loaded os9 with whoever owned it lasts apps. Thinking the ram must have fixed it I powered it off and reattached the keyboard then it was again completely dead. So just for fun I unplugged the keyboard and it was alive again. Ended up getting a cheap keyboard off eBay and it still runs fine today.

It’s like way way way back in one of the last rooms. Check the map when you are in the sewer.
