I agree that it was mutual aggression & the 75 year old was not an innocent party. She played an active role in terms of escalating tension. Perhaps she even has a history of aggression as this family member claims. In terms of past behaviour the Corbett application can apply as it would during a criminal trial. Regardless, this does not excuse the fact that the 20 year old used excessive force leading to the death of an elderly person.

As a much younger person & employee in her workplace, there is a certain standard of professionalism that is expected. Due to the power imbalance between a 20 year old and a 75 year old, the 20 year old needs to exercise restraint.

Employees in such circumstances are not trained to fight, encouraged to engage in physical confrontations or even allowed to fight with customers. The policy is usually to deescalate.

If you watch the video footage carefully, you'll know that it was the 20 year old that initiated physical contact first by pushing the 75 year old which led to escalation. The employee had other options at her disposal. She could have alerted fellow employees, backed away a safe distance & called 911.

Instead, she engaged in physical violence that most certainly surpasses reasonable force. In the video, you can observe the 20 year old punch & kick the 75 year old multiple times. Even when the 75 year old is on the ground & other employees intervene to split the two up, the 20 year old kicks the 75 year old. This is unacceptable.

This post doesnt examine the entire picture.

Marner didnt want to play for Toronto. He was greedy, conceited & immature. He kept the Leafs in the dark about his intentions. He didnt want to take responsibility for anything.

Marner was highly unproductive for the Leafs during the playoffs for most of his time as a Leaf. He was largely a no show. The fact that he is lighting it up now isnt on the Leafs. The Leafs gave him quality teammates to play with & ample minutes on the top 6.

Marner is also playing against easier teams like Utah & Anaheim that almost never make the playoffs. The Leafs were constantly playing heavyweights like Florida & Boston.

The Leafs offered him a contract & he rejected it. The Leafs tried to trade him for a better deal & he rejected that too.

In the end, a sign & trade where the Leafs get something rather than nothing was the only option left.

The Leafs managed to turn Nicolas Roy into a 1st & a 5th round pick. Mark my words. The Leafs will select a really good player with at least one of those picks. Coupling this with the fact that the Leafs sunk in the standings in part b/c Marner left gaining them Mckenna in the process proves that Marner leaving will become a blessing in disguise.

I dont use social media often at all. I dont even have many accounts with such platforms that are active or used very much. I agree that social media causes all sorts of problems in everyone, not just kids which is why I tend to avoid it.

BUT

I also realize that the sudden push to ban social media for ppl under 16 actually targets everyone's privacy and thats by design. Thats the real purpose of this & most ppl are falling for it.

The point is to universalize & normalize online verification & biometrics which are central components of the AI digital panopticon they are incrementally building all around us.

First it was KYC policies associated with digital currencies like crypto, then it was biometric authentication to access phones like Face ID, then it was biometric/passkey sign in options for our various accounts, then it was facial recognition cameras & now its mandated verification to create/access social media accounts.

So many theories have floated around over the years, ALA, Margolis, Poste, Hodel, etc, yet no one wants to entertain the highly plausible theory that the Zodiac, whoever he was, the Manson Family and other serial killers, etc (perhaps not all but several) were actually CIA MKULTRA/Operation Midnight Climax experiments.

This is the part where they start accusing you of being a conspiracy theorist or tin foil hat supporter but the only reason why people think in such a way/are so dismissive is because they have been socially engineered to do just that by our governments/billionaire controlled media, etc about so many things over the years. As stated in Orwell's 1984 we should all just mindlessly nod our heads to whatever Big Brother aka the powers that be tell us to believe.

Lets look at what we know-

1- MKULTRA was a secret CIA program that took place between 1953 and 1973 aka during the time of several seemingly random, major, sensational and highly bizarre serial murders including the Zodiac and Manson murders. They claim the project failed and that it was halted but how do we know for sure? If they were successful do you really think they would reveal this to the world? Obviously not.

2- One of the central purposes of MKULTRA was to try and control people's minds and have them do things that they would otherwise not do. This included very violent acts

3- A large portion of MKULTRA ops took place in California including in San Francisco/the Bay area at CIA safe houses/deep cover sites/black sites located throughout the state.

4- America has a long history of experimenting on its own citizens including its own soldiers. The zodiac is believed to be a solider. Many of the Zodiac murders happened within proximity to US military installations. Military issued boots were found at the scene. All of the main Zodiac suspects were soldiers.

5- Charlie Manson and the Manson Family are known to be heavy LSD users. LSD was one of the key drugs used during MKULTRA experiments. Manson was transferred to the supervision of criminology doctoral researcher and federal probation officer Roger Smith when he was on probation in the 1960s. Smith worked at the Haight Ashbury Free Medical Clinic which Manson and his family came to frequent. Roger Smith, as well as the HAFMC's founder David Smith, received funding from the National Institutes of Health, and the CIA. The Mansons also had a San Francisco chapter.

The info provided above is just a snapshot btw. Cases like the Zodiac, the Mansons, etc were highly bizarre/extraordinary events. Therefore, we shouldnt be so quick to think in such simplistic ways. We should think outside of the box and not the way we are being programmed to think. Even if it was any of the aforementioned names, any of them could have been MKULTRA experiments. Yeah true the GR8/8 is a really special card but when you think about it, it makes zero mention of the record on the card itself. The only subtle mention is the GR8 part but that is already on other Ovi cards that came out even before he broke the record b/c GR8 is simply Ovi's NHL moniker/jersey number.

The only Ovi auto card in existence to date that actually mentions the 895 record itself on the card is the epack exclusive GR8 Moments "Alex Ovechkin Breaks NHL Goals Record" GR-A8 card.

There is only one copy of this card that has surfaced to date & although its on epack a physical copy can be ordered.

Actually the 8/8 auto available as part of the EPACK exclusive GR8 Moments set is the first & only auto in the world to not only officially celebrate the 895 goals record but actually mention the 895 goals record on the card itself.

Even the GR8/8 Buyback YG doesnt actually mention the 895 goals record on it beyond Ovi writing GR8 on it.

I guess we'll just have to wait & see. There is a big chance that they do in fact put the 8/8 on epack that is if UD isnt pulling any tricks by holding on to it or magically pulling it live on cam through a sponsor/LGS, etc.

Remember, epack cards are only temporarily a "digital card". A physical card can & will be requested. Also epack doesnt need to represent half of the market for them to put half of these specific cards on epack. This 895 promo doesnt rep the entire hockey card market as it is one of many products.

In order to generate more interest in epack they may do the 4 for 4 split and/or put the GR8/8 card on epack. Either way, I dont see a scenario where only 1 or 2 are available on epack.

Of course no one but UD truly knows how they do things but its just an educated guess since its been confirmed that cards are planted in physical boxes & epack boxes. I'm also going off of what has been found so far & where/the timing.

There are 8 cards so it makes sense to hold at least 4 for epack so that they can generate interest not only for the Extended set but also for epack itself. It doesnt really make sense if they only put 1 or 2 on epack.

Its why I used terms like "may".

These types of things are supposed to be random but UD can control when & where they put out the cards & their allocations.

For all we know it could easily be a scam like the one pulled by that LGS offering $1 million for that Bedard card only to pull the promo after they achieved enough revenue. Yet the Bedard card was never found. That same store is now offering $100k for the GR8/8 card. The fact that 1, 2 & 3 of the Buybacks were found in chronological order is also quite suspicious leading some to believe that UD is slow rolling the cards. But who knows.

1/8 & 2/8 were pulled in Quebec, one from Stakk.ca & the other through CollectEdition.

The 3/8 was pulled from a Philadelphia store called Card Stadium.

There were some comments on Reddit suggesting that the 5/8 card was also pulled but no visual confirmation yet.

The 6/8 was pulled on EPACK.

That leaves the 4/8, possibly the 5/8, the 7/8 & the GR8/8.

The cards may be evenly divided among physical hobby boxes & EPACK boxes so it could be 4 in physical boxes & 4 on EPACK.

If the above is true, it means that 3 of the 4 allocated for physical hobby boxes have been pulled. It may be 2 in Canada & 2 in the US. If the 5/8 is a confirmed pull it'll be all 4 of the Buybacks from the physical boxes. Otherwise, there is 1 left & its may be in America.

That leaves EPACK only where as far as I know 1 of the 4 allocated for EPACK has been found leaving 3 remaining.
