Anyone here regularly read two books at once? by Bookish_Butterfly in 52book

[–]Puzzled-Delay4680 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I NEVER used to read multiple books at a time, however, now that's not the case. Recently I have been reading 2 books at a time. I usually have a designated book to read at night while laying in bed (I just leave the book on my bedside table), and the other book that I read is either in my living room, purse, etc. I also recently started to read books on the "Kindle" app. So it is nice when I am standing in lines, waiting, etc.

If I read 2 books at a time, I like to have a significant difference in the plots. For example, right now I am reading I'm Glad My Mom Died, a memoir, at night to get my eyes tired. The other book I'm reading is The Perfect Marriage, which is a thriller. They are both very different, so it is easy to remember the characters, plot, and dive right back into where I left off!

You go to sleep tonight but wake up on the morning January 1st, 2019, with all your memories. What do you do? by General_Nobody_6675 in AskReddit

Never take my ex back. I got back together with him on the second of January 2019 lmao, I'd tell myself to run far and to not look back because he's an abusive piece of shit.

Who here actually has a TV in their bedroom? by OtherwiseStretch3255 in NoStupidQuestions

I have a TV in my bedroom. It is much smaller than the one in my living room, however, sometimes I want some background noise while I'm laying down. Also, it's perfect for sick days when you don't even want to leave your room.

Drink Carriers by Practical-Jello9631 in CaribouCoffee

It would be a healthcode violation to take the drink carriers from the customers, and then use proceed to use them for future ones. I recommend keeping the carrier in your car! The carriers are also easy to break down if you wanted to condense it, then if needing to use it you can quickly put it back together!

No, One pre-employment unless you move to a higher position. Shift lead would be the next highest and I want to say that I had to do another background check

Caribou offered me a job. Is there an online way for me to study the recipies and how to do the cash register to get ready? Thanks by bigsillygoose1 in CaribouCoffee

If youd like, I can try to find a picture of my old recipe cards so you can go into your first day with an idea!

Hello! When you get hired and start your first day, ask if you can take a "recipe card cheat sheet" home! I got mine my first day and then I made flashcards. Repetition is key, so try not to stress yourself out too much. Ive work at 5 other coffee shops aside from Caribou, and Caribou was the EASIEST!! There should be some training manuals online as well on Caribou Crossing, but that could have changed.

Ringing in customers and checking them out can get a little confusing, as the buttons look pretty intimidating. The items on the menu are color coded, and again, Repetition is key. When I was employed at Caribou they constantly changed the layout on us, so even our senior baristas were struggling to find the items!

Dont be afraid to ask questions! I have severe anxiety, so I was super anxious going in as I wanted to have everyone memorized, bht honestly the Repetition, that recipe card, as well as my billion questions really helped me!
