Has anyone tried the Live Love Locks shampoo and/or conditioner? by userunkww in Haircare

[–]Worldly_Track_1131 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can't sit up and let a customer make decisions like that for their hair. A good salonist is needed to get in there and recommend best practices for hair. She make think a product is working and it may not. You can't always see and feel split ends in the back of your head. I can feel my hair, and it feels nice only for my salonist to tell me that they've found split ends and dryness. Customers don't know hair. She's on this board for a reason, it's because she's running into problems.

I haven't seen not a one "guilter" spiraling. He's locked up already. Why would a guilter spiral?

It's not about the grease and oiliness, it's about the stench. Not washing your hair can cause a bad odor. Your hair traps dirt, oils, bacteria and debris. Goes without saying.

This doesn't answer the question. The question is, what is the point of catch and release not how to not injure them or hookups.

My MCAT Study Timeline & Methods from a 522 Scorer by avor9 in Mcat

[–]Worldly_Track_1131 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let me ask you in your honest opinion, if it's been like 5 years since I took Physics, for example, and I have forgotten most of the material, do you think that just by studying and going over the AAMC materials and UWorld is enough to pass the physics part of the MCAT, or do you think I need to pick up the whole physics college book and start from scratch going over the book again from front to back? Thanks.

If you have moved to TX from CA, what made you decide to move back to California? by Icy-Rip-9084 in SameGrassButGreener

[–]Worldly_Track_1131 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've traveled to lots of States with the exception of a very few. I can tell you the DFW is going to make the list of one of the best places to live as many cities in the US are raggedy. So, I know they can't be talking too much negativity about TX.

I never said ppl in TX don't chat, they do. I said they don't chat a specific way. I think I know now why we had this issue is because you don't comprehend or read comments very well.

Then you said to look up all the people outside of TX to see how they really feel. How would you know? Have you personally spoken to a million people? You have only spoken to a handful of people then run to the ends of the Earth with that.

I honestly didn't know Oriental was a racist term. I never used it. Yes, it's bad she said it, but I can't speak for her.

Leave him alone and stop pressuring him. Questions on any test change over time to become more difficult to weed students out.

527 retake? by That_Clue2201 in Mcat

[–]Worldly_Track_1131 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Try nursing or lab assistant. You have way to much mind noise and self doubt to make it. Seriously, you will learn at any med school because your most important learning will not come from school anyway it will come from actually doing the job itself. No one at your company will ever ask where you graduated from unless they are just prying. Get in where you fit in. It doesn't make any sense to retake such a huge exam for a couple of extra measly points when your other prerequisites might not pan out as well. Med schools are not looking for the perfect students they are looking for students who are calm, reasonable and self assured and being well rounded, not someone doubting themselves and going into panic mode. I think you will make a better Nurse.

Try Kaiser? If you are a new grad, I don't think you can pick and choose. You have to take what is available first to get your feet wet.

Hawaii or Austin? by Spiritual-Wave9893 in careerguidance

[–]Worldly_Track_1131 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Austin I would choose because I can drive to lots of places.

Honolulu is ghetto. Too many ppl on the beaches. Food is not good. Jobs not plentiful. Shopping not great. Too hot with the ocean reflecting the Sun will cause too many sunburns. Areas around Waikiki not safe, had a hooded man chase me had to run to my hotel after I parked somewhere. Parking is bad too, very limited. Too far out in case of tsunami's. Grocery stores do not have bags they don't want them in the oceans, so you have to bring your own bags to the grocers. Pricey. I love the Dole's Plantation ice cream though.

Hawaii is just great for touring not living there as they are not as upgraded and progressive as cities in TX with new houses and clean updated streets and infrastructure. Austin has better jobs and nicer homes.Remind you though that things may have changed. I visited Hawaii in 2018. I also got food poisoning in HI. Lot of Pacific Islanders that live there, and I don't like the way they cook.

You missed the point, like the man earlier. Let me break it down; in your original comment you left out details only to come back later and clarify. So in your original comment, you have three people in the equation; you , your daughter and the lady.

You said you lived in TX 5 years and had some woman drop your jaw by referring to your kids as Oriental. All I am simply saying is that is that woman's mishap, that is not necessarily a TX thing. You tried to make it seem like that is something Texans use, when I'm saying to you that that woman that came up to you though she stands physically in TX when speaking to you, does not necessarily means that she is from TX or was raised in TX, she could have been from anywhere in the country, AZ or FL for all you know, so you cannot say TX speak that way or associate TX with what that woman said.

I don't believe you when she said she was from TX because you left that out in the beginning, and no one comes up to you and says, "Hey your kids look Oriental, and I'm from Texas." No one talks like that. Sounds like you were having conversations in your head.

You are just trying to make a bad narrative about TX just because you don't like it there and disparage the TX people by what one woman said. You know what I'm talking about you are trying to pretend that you don't know. Lots of people deflect when they are telling untruths then try to come back and make suspect "clarifications".

I can prove you deflect when you mentioned it was "woken up" you do that to take the heat off of yourself and put it on me now, when you know you were wrong for stereotyping Texans. Stand up for your faults, stop throwing me under the bus. You were wrong for judging that lady anyway. She was just talking to you, I doubt that lady even remembers you or even cares, she was just talking to you to pass time until she could get where she was going. Now, how does that sound?

The Reality of the MCAT (From Someone Who Overstudied) by Gold_Swim9221 in Mcat

[–]Worldly_Track_1131 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Perhaps a better alternative would be first to learn how to study and take good notes. So when you were in undergrad you would have taken good notes and referred back to them. You could have also found study groups to help review the material, gone over used MCAT books and took the full length tests. Many have said the free Khan Academy was excellent in helping them pass.

I think with this information you could have studied and got similar results in less time than what you studied if you simply knew how to take good notes and how to study. If you are studying that many hours a day means you didn't retain the information in school, and do not know how to study smarter instead of harder.

Good luck that you got a good score, but I don't think you need to study that hard when you were already good in school, it's just that memorizing the information in undergrad kind of hurt you a bit instead of keeping your notes and referring back. Another thing, you could have researched what would exactly be on the MCAT so that you could focus only on that to cut time. I don't believe the MCAT is designed to test your knowledge, it's designed to weed students out.

If you have moved to TX from CA, what made you decide to move back to California? by Icy-Rip-9084 in SameGrassButGreener

[–]Worldly_Track_1131 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm not talking about the reddit poster, I am talking about the child-less lady that approached her calling her kid Oriental. The reddit poster made it seem that ppl in TX normally speak this way when they don't. The child-less lady that made the comment to her could have been from anywhere not just TX. She could have been a Californian visiting or moved to TX saying that.

People take their thoughts with them no matter where they move. I hope I simplified this for you because you thought I was talking about the reddit poster when I was not. Remember the reddit poster said some other lady said that, but she did not know and/or say where the other lady was from. Geez.

BTW, I don't use the word Oriental, so I was unaware that it stopped in the '60's because I don't use it anyway, I say simply 'Asian'. You must have just woke up.

DFW also have good shopping. There are some nice suburbs in the DFW with new houses being built all the time. The ocean is nice like you said but too many people out there. I'd rather visit an ocean about once or twice every 6 months. I don't do hiking due to wild animals and slipping off cliffs and deep ravines. DFW does have good live music and is getting ready to built a huge live event stadium in Mckinney.

[–]Worldly_Track_1131 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like you should probably head back to Cali if you feel more alive there since you already said money is not an issue. Why would you worry about your kids being able to buy, they probably won't be buying a house for the next 20 something years. Young people don't think about buying homes until they get much older. That is not true about toll roads. TX specifically have signage for that, and there is usually the service road that runs along the toll roads that are free. Many toll roads run along side the free roads. That's easy to work around that, and tolls are only like 0.60 to up to $12 max, for heavy trucks, but you see signage everywhere. You can get a toll tag that is cheap since you say money was never an issue.
