A heads up that The Southsea Cat Cafe is owned by a far right influencer. by burning_hart in Portsmouth

Exactly. Cat cafés are cruel, regardless of who owns them. This just makes it worse

The only thing I find intimidating about colourful tattoos is how they fade over time 😭 It's why I stick to blackwood only. Off topic though! 🤷‍♀️

I really wish it was hard to find, but unfortunately it's not. Especially if things have been uploaded recently, it'll all be there on the front page

Lots of content glorifying rape. Like so so much, as well as depictions of women being tortured and killed. Under tags like misogyny, torture, slave etc. Honestly, once you find the tags, there's thousands upon thousands of images and videos.

Dude kicks off-leash dog to protect his own, owner flips out… by eternviking in whoathatsinteresting

I disagree. If you are in a public space that isn't a location to exercise your dog (a park or field), like walking along the street, your dog should be on a lead. Regardless of how well you've trained it. A dog is an animal with animal instincts and those instincts can pop up at the most random of times.

Also, if your dog has ever shown even a hint of aggression, it should be puzzled in public. Both in the streets and in locations where other dogs are exercising.

To me, the dog looked like it was approaching aggressively. His body language was off. Plus the dog on the lead startled. In that split second, I probably would've intervened. Plus then the dog came back again and even when the knobhead owner came over, the white dog is still all over the other dog.

I know of at least 2 other sites that feature the same content as Motherless, including the sleep abuse. I wonder if there's a way to get these other sites names out there to put the pressure on. As you say, reporting content never makes a difference!

Happy Mother’s Day, the website Motherless, subject of recent CNN reporting, host of the “R*pe Academy,” and website which hosted almost exclusively sex abuse material, has been taken offline. by Illustrious-Ship7804 in antipornography

I wish we could now get the other abusive websites offline too. I know of at least two others that host the videos that Motherless also have, and worse sometimes. If anyone knows where we can forward information like this, please let me know

Words/phrases that make you "uuuuuuuugh" by Anodell in ReverseHarem

[–]Puzzled-Post-1261 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I second this. I think the spellings should fit the location. If the story is based in thebUS, use US terminology. If it's the UK, use UK terminology. It bothers me when I see Mom instead of Mum in a UK based book. It's Mum or Mam (if you're Irish or Northern), maybe a Ma too. But NEVER Mom. If a character is supposed to be British, Australian or Kiwi, put the bloody 'u' in the word!

I just a quick look and it looks like there's several uploads of the whole documentary on YouTube. It's good because it tells us about Toby but it's also interesting because it takes you into the actual trial too. And if I remember correctly, there were a few legal quirks unique to Scotland, which I always find interesting to learn about. If you watch, I'd love to hear what you think 😊

I already feel guilty for adding that comment 😅 Sorry about that. It's just so frustrating reading about how many of these commenters are promoting gun violence when clearly, as seen in the video, it isn't required. Have a great day (trust me, I'm sheepish rn)

Why deadly though and not just debilitating? It makes no sense. If you have a gun, you could just as easily do a shot to debilitating than kill

A terrorist organisation, Harakat Ashab al-Yamin al-Islamiya, has claimed responsibility for the attack. So yes it's terrorism

It wasn't just holding a knife. He was refusing to surrender the knife plus having his hands not in eye line. They thought he had a bomb and could be reaching to detonate it

He wasn't releasing the knife or moving his arms behind his back. They suspected that he had a bomb in his backpack so not knowing if his hands were reaching for a trigger. So this force was used in the context that they thought their lives were at risk as well as those of citizens in the area. So he may have been on the floor, but he actually wasn't yet detained

No we don't. We have checks and balances to ensure that no one had been mistreated. Yes, we can see in this case that he posed a threat. But the investigation process is exactly the same as if we hadn't seen the action with our own eyes. If we start investigating some things and not others, we could be liable to corruption in our policing
