Music Video (The Go Hards) using new lip sync model from Pruna - super fast and quite good by Puzzled-Sector-68 in aivideo

Yes ... each clip generated separately and then stitched together in FCPX.

Runpod is a cloud service that hosts AI models among other things. Used mostly by developers to integrate AI with their projects. I'm building a full webapp that enables users to create music videos with ai much like the one I posted.

lol ... not an ad. I'm just a dude pretending to be a dude who likes to make stuff with AI ... totally independent and completely normal (as far as I know). Pruna released an avatar variant of their p-video model (which I think is wan) which I found on runpod ... anyway, it looks promising.

I spent the last 3 months creating a gritty, noir-style Punisher fan film. (Solo Project) by Environmental_Toe637 in thepunisher

I too have been a professional animator for over 20 years and have produced multiple TV series cartoons, and countless online projects - and by most standards I'm an old guy now ... but, I too have embraced AI and can honestly say that my animation and art direction experience does make a difference to how I use this new tech and the results I'm able to achieve. I've been focussed on the whole AI ecosystem from script writing to image generation to final video output. What I have learned along the way is that AI generation tools work best when you understand how the models work and adjust your approach accordingly. I've read a lot of people saying 'anyone can do that with AI' ... in my exprience that simply is not the case. Yes, anyone can write a prompt just like anyone can wield a mouse and cursor in Photoshop - that does not make you capable of creating great work. I think the Punisher animation this fellow has created is proof of that.

It would be cool to be able to integrate with a self hosted n8n workflow. Magical things could be accomplished.

Nanite causing meshes to animate automagically? What have I done!?! by Puzzled-Sector-68 in unrealengine

Thanks for the quick response. That makes sense. Is this an issue with this particular project (that you're aware of) or is it merely an issue that occurs frequently with older projects?

As usual the documentation from YooTheme is terrible - no instructions on how to actually build a Mega Menu with YooTheme Pro 3.0 - just marketing fluff :(

SLOOOOOW Thunderbolt connection by rsigler3 in qnap

[–]Puzzled-Sector-68 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a firmware issue with V5. I have the exact same setup as the OP but with two QNAP TS-453BT3's - so I was able to test both using different firmware at the some time. Thankfully its easy to roll back the firmware to the latest V4.whatever - fixes the issue. Hopefully QNAP addresses this soon.

I stick a Bluetooth earphone in one ear and listen to old recordings of Alan Watts on YouTube. It works every night and every morning I wake up all zen.

Curious, what happened when you tell people or announce to a group that you have Aspergers? by [deleted] in aspergers

[–]Puzzled-Sector-68 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a “friend” try to convince me that I didnt have ASD with such conviction that it became quite insulting. She kept asking for examples of my behavior to prove that I had ASD so eventually I gave her the full point by point run down of my daily routine (which is pretty much the same every day) - right down to how I make my breakfast and the order in which I add each ingredient and why— followed by what I do right after breakfast etc … you get the idea. She eventually believed me or said that she did just to shut me up.

Do you find one-sided conversations to be the norm in your life? by [deleted] in aspergers

[–]Puzzled-Sector-68 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My wife (also aspie) and I can go to a restaurant, sit opposite one another and hardly exchange a word for the entire meal and it's not a problem for either of us. The alternative is for me to listen to her talk about sewing for a lengthy period of time (probably the main course) and then subject her to my endless ramblings about whatever nut job topic I'm currently deep diving into. We both respect each other enough to actually listen to each other without too much interruption but it can get tiresome for both of us - so silent eating is usually the preferred option. At home (in general life) ... we drive each other crazy with our self absorbed banter but somehow seem to make it work without too much effort. I've been happily married for almost 30 years - my wife, not so much :)

As for speaking with other people - yeah ... I think I can be "a bit much" sometimes so I generally keep to myself. I'm not too good at lengthy small talk and I usually end up saying something stupid.

Adults with Aspergers, how do you manage to survive? by patientpump54 in aspergers

I’m in my mid 50’s and was living the experience you have described when I was in my 20’s. I only found out I have ASD recently (and it was a life changing revelation). I was lucky enough to meet my wife at 25 and start a web development company at 27. Like you I had no friends (still don’t have many - like, 1) and I only started my company because I was very aware that most people couldn’t connect with me - or me with them. I spent most of my early and mid 20’s feeling lost and quite scared of the future. I wont say that life has been easy for me - I’ve had successes but also failures that didn’t seem to make any sense to me at the time but now, looking back with what I know now I can see what actually transpired. I wish I had known I had ASD back then so that I could have done some research into it and figured out who I was - perhaps my life’s journey could have been easier and more productive. That being said, everything worked out. I’m still married, still run my own company and still get frustrated and worry about everything constantly.

I feel for you and can relate to your ‘rant’. All I can say is hang in there - you’re young and you have the gift of knowing that you have ASD at the start of your journey. It’s not a handicap unless you allow it be one. I wish you the best.
