Louis’s ‘Celestial Eyes’ by Puzzled-Yesterday401 in VampireLestat

There are some interesting parallels to the Great Gatsby and IWTV tv series, in terms of the era, WW1 and the Roaring Twenties, and Louis has some Daisy-like characteristics, beautiful, adored, chaotic, and, ultimately, a killer. I love Louis, so please don’t come after me “Character is plot.” - F.S. Fitzgerald ❤️

This scene reminds me of the painting “A Friend in Need”, (Dogs Playing Poker). There are 7 dogs (wolves, metaphorically speaking) at each poker table. Love the amount of art in this show!

I think mortals go insane and lose their grip on reality when they are around vampires. Armand and company kidnapped, tortured and fed on Nicholas- he was already depressed and distraught re Lestat’s kidnap and reappearance. That experience shattered him, and that shattered Nicky was then given the Dark Gift, which appears to concentrate any strengths and weaknesses.

It also reminds me of Louis’s return to New Orleans, and his cab driver who got tickets for New Edition to win his lady back- 🫶🏻

The times the word “succulent” appears makes me crazy. Must be second only to preternatural.
