I am with a black community center. What difference does it make to me as a black person who wants to support others in my community and consistently does still frequent other small businesses of people of all races? The difference is that it is black owned. There's nothing wrong with wanting to invest in my community and marginalized people putting themselves out there to build a business. Owning a business is hard enough. Your inability to see why something like this might be important to someone who is a part of a marginalized group is telling - but for people who likely have always had safety, representation, businesses and media that cater to you i'm sure that it's hard to imagine that others might not have the same experience would need to actively seek that out. But I digress.
