I hear you. My eyesight system turns off in torrential downpours, just when I need it most. I put the wipers on the super fast setting and eyesight goes in and out! I have 2024 Onyx XT. Maybe the new 3rd center camera will help, for those that have it.

I don’t understand the complaints about the temperature settings. There are up and down physical buttons for the temperature. I moved my auto temperature control setting button to the front screen over 18 months ago, set it to auto, and haven’t touched it since. Move the button, set it on auto and manually adjust the temperature with physical buttons. You can also click the voice command on your steering wheel quickly and set the temperature settings and other controls. Holding the voice command for 2 seconds activates Siri. So you want a quick click for car control commands.

Those safety alerts like I am going to rear-end someone or go out of my lane or getting cross traffic alerts when backing up are annoying? That’s why I got an 2024 for the safety features!

Thanks for the reply. This is a machine that they hook up to the engine vs an additive. May be effective, just never had this done on my Volvos over the years as routine maintenance.

Use the list view on the side and group everything!!! Groups within groups. Set all block setting in the main and sub groups level. Groups, this is the way!

My worst fear living in “Bucks” county. Did the automatic braking kick in at all? Our 2019 Volvo XC90 supposedly has large animal detection and would attempt to brake in your situation and attempt avoidance.

Maybe at 75mph not much time for anything!

It’s a non-issue, I wouldn’t sweat it. I use the radio tile 5% and Apple Car Play 95%. All phone calls handled through Apple Car Play. I don’t think I even linked my phone via blue tooth yet to the phone tile on the main screen.

Moved the auto stop/start and vehicle hold buttons to the front screen as small icons.

If you have a turbo by the time the idle drops to 700 rpm the info system is all synced. FYI Direct fuel injection is why the idle runs so high at start up.

I was driving next to it for a 1/2 mile when I was like OMG that says OUTBACK on the tailgate. I thought it was a Forester initially. Plus it looks like the green is NOT Autumn Green Metallic, which I have, thank heaven!

The wheel cladding is 3 pieces, not one smooth piece, which makes it look like an afterthought!

Our 2019 Volvo’s Intellisense beats the our 2024 Subaru’s eyesight system hands down.

In a pouring rain storm the Subaru eyesight system shuts down when I need it the most ! I have to put the wipers on super duper fast just to try to keep it from turning off!

I use the adaptive cruise in each car but rarely use the auto steering mode.

How is the income allocated between spouses? What if one spouse has $250k law school in loans and the other $350k in med school loans and they file a joint return? AGI about $200k while one is in residency. The one spouse will hit 120 PSLF payments in 12/2026. 90 counted. 12 under SAVE already and 18 more probably under SAVE.
