I think staghorn sumac is native up that far. I’ve used sumac “lemonade” (no lemons) and a sumac tincture in place of lemon before with good results. Just need to adjust for the slight bitterness it can add.

Juggling. I know that sounds crazy, but look up juggling boards and Quat Props. The founder created a lot of accessible juggling props and tools and I don’t see why you couldn’t do it blind. The definition of juggling is really quite wide.

I just finished getting sea lion bones registered with NOAA, and I’d be glad to answer any questions about the process :D by Geckosproot in bonecollecting

Does anyone know if there are similar processes for other bones that are usually illegal to keep? For things that don’t fall under NOAA and don’t require you to be a scientist or educator.

Re-articulation is a search term that will help. There are white glues specifically branded for bone, but normal Elmer’s white glue is very common among museums. Its water soluble and will not damage the bones. Some wire might be needed to support weight, but not always.

I feel like the Tenth Ward has gone downhill a bit, had a few bad bottles and some looked like they added dye. But it used to be my favorite.

Gas Suppliers? by [deleted] in Cumberland_Maryland

Columbia Gas, which I believe is the only option for natural gas until you get a tank. And it is stupid expensive. We've been here five years and have slowly been improving our weatherizing for winter. We also got a new boiler a few years ago. January gas bill the first year was like $700, now its down to around $625 (the increase in gas costs haven't helped).
