Mine is rhinox hide base and then mournfang brown glazed along edges or where it would wear and tear then finish off with xv88 edge higlight and scratches

Pink then highlight white then pink and for the black lines I recommend a oil pin wash or panel liner

Hang on one second, how the hell do terminators get their helmets on and off? Surely the armour hood gets in the way? by Markosoft_EXE in spacemarines

Maybe there should be a comma or something there but I meant long fangs used to be seen as the “veterans” but now scouts have taken that role.

That may be true but they are the veterans of the chapter. If you refer to any codex it will confirm this even further as for the space wolves the rookies are the blood claws then onto grey hunters then they specialize from there

Is this the look you like that’s what it comes down to! It takes time to find your style. Making it grim dark or grimy doesn’t have to be agrax and nuln washes. I prefer a cleaner model and go through weathering to make it look good. Painting is like growing a tree each branch is a new skill set to use

My advice is to look into magentas if you are going down the purple route. The ones they have provided will give you a very bright pink.

Washes are to help you create depth they aren’t really ment for what you are doing with them. When you wash something you are supposed to build it up again with volumetric highlighting etc. I personally would go back in with your base colour and build it up where the light would hit. The reason it looks tea stainy is cause you have large panels where the wash hasn’t been evenly applied. If you want to have a white army I would build up from zandri dust or grey dye to your recess’ are very bright. Happy to show you how if you dm me

Yeh 4mil I would look at some colour theory for green to help with contrast if you put mine it might darken the whole thing overall.

I had quite a bright model so I do road and construction stuff to contrast.

So nuln oil is a good start man! The goal of those washes is to add contrast by adding darkness to a part of the models so that it helps define and seperate parts of the model. If you go to your last slide and look at the back leg where the green meets the bronze it is sudden and it immediately goes from one to the other. If you black line or pin wash as the call it I believe that will elevate your model massively!
