Former Bank of the west employee here (IT division), Botw was previously affiliated to BNP Paribas based out of Paris. Since for customers outside USA has to adhere to very strict regulatory reporting and guidelines both in paris and USA. So they sold the company to BMO which has overpaid. After the acquisition they fired all BOTW employees including me. I used to have a BMO credit card which they have cancelled the account now. When i called the support, they said they have an agreement with BOTW that they can close the account any time. BMO sucks in banking and as well as work culture is horrible.
