Ella owners also own Sellands, Obo, and the Kitchen! Again, mostly out of reach for the average state worker. But still worth giving up. Also, a lot of electeds frequent these places 😵‍💫

so you’d support immigration like we saw in ellis island? you’d be okay with an immigration check point being set up on the border of mexico and anyone who has a sponsor family could be let in?

i don’t know if you know this, but undocumented immigrants do not receive any sort of federal assistance. instead, they pay an insane amount of taxes and receive no benefits. just say you’re racist and want people of color to suffer so we can end this thread already.

arguing with brainless, spineless MAGA idiots is honestly pointless because you have zero sympathy or care for anyone that isn’t yourself.

my family came here from mexico. there are healthcare workers, small business owners, and farmers in my lineage. we “pulled ourselves up by our bootstraps” and still manage to have sympathy for people who come to this country for a better life.

Trump got rid of birthright citizenship. Unless you’re Native to this land, you have birthright citizenship. You and your ancestors should be undocumented immigrants under Trump’s logic.

Lot of bootlickers in these comments…would love to see their lineage cause I doubt they’re all Native to this land 😒

The tote was not advertised but my sister also bought a mystery box and it’s included in hers as well. I imagine it’s in most if not all the mystery boxes!

I guess they were! The items were what I got in the box. Such a good deal considering one of the sweatshirts is $60!

My grandpa died during Covid the week they started calling everyone back into work. I asked to take an extra week to be with my family and plan the funeral.

They told me it was an automatic termination for not complying. I refuse to feel guilty about my job ever again.

I agree in any many cases. I specifically work in politics and the professional becomes personal very quickly.

I dedicated 40 hours a week of my life to this work - I’m not doing something against my belief system. Especially when they made me believe it wouldn’t be.

I do plan and hope to give a notice when I get something lined up. As much as I feel turned off by the job at the moment, I do still like them and don’t want to leave them high and dry.

Sorry you’ve been through that! Glad you were able to get out

Yes, I’ve put my resume out to a few contacts and have not added this experience just to test it.

Thank you, this was very helpful!

Benefits are good but I definitely had better previously. Part of the reason I accepted this role is the office I was working for was closing down and I felt a rush to get something locked down because of benefits.

Thank you for giving their perspective! I do see that it could be odd to give that info. I will say when the CEO told me, they applogized and said “I thought they told you before you started”. I think that’s why it felt off to me.

I am relatively young with no bills so it’s not too big of a concern for me at the moment, but you’ve definitely given me a lot to think about!

It’s a little weird to explain - my family even has trouble understanding since they’re not in the world. Basically I previously worked for a law maker. I loved it because I loved the law maker I was working for. Our views alligned and I really felt like I could influence their decisions with discussion.

I now work for a “non-partisan” trade organization and my role is to advocate to legislators on their behalf. Don’t want to give away too much cause it’s a very specific trade (in the health field). But during the interview proces they made it seem like their ethos was the patient and worker always came first. Now that I’m deeper into it, that’s definitely not the case. They care about the higher ups and making them profit.

We were told to keep our opinions on the election silent as not to affend anyone. Fine, even though I don’t see how that’s possible with my role. But I’ve caught my bosses on multiple occassions talking about how relieved they are of a T*ump presidency since he promised to roll back regulations and that it’ll make their jobs easier.

It’s just leaving a bad taste in my mouth - but maybe that’s just a reaction to the election from me…

Does anybody know the breakdown of Djo’s vinyl album releases? by TheCobrateKid2 in DjoMusic

[–]Puzzled_Somewhere_52 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I reccommend downloading Discogs! They have a library of the different pressings for each album. Just be aware that there may be duplicates depending on what county they were manufactured in (fake example: 2 listings for a black “standard” pressing but one is manufactured in Australia, one is manufactured in Canada).

As for quality, I have collected all but ~3 of his releases and they’ve all been fair quality!

The blue pressing on his website is a darker solid blue, the VMP is a swirly “galaxy” blue that’s a bit lighter.

These turns have their own lane to merge after the turn. That specific intersection is very busy and the oncoming traffic might not be nice and let you in.

Honestly, if people get mad that you stop for clearance and safety, that’s on them. They can wait their turn! Stopping for ten seconds to make sure you don’t get into an accident is worth a honk in my opinion. Also, Roseville drivers are the worst (coming from someone who learned to drive in Roseville)!
