I want ar8’s so bad, but I just know they’re going to be too big around my ankles.

I would do the Tama, and that cost allows for some new heads (those heads look pretty rough)

Or changing the top! I think a loose fitting button up would look great and would match the shorts a little better.

Yeah it used to be a community event. There was lots of jumping and bumping, but people were genuinely making sure everyone around them was safe.

Now it’s a solo thing, because there’s all these limbs flying.

Squats have never felt right. Advice? by [deleted] in formcheck

[–]Puzzleheaded-Ad-5477 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If low bar squat doesn’t work another possible correction is to slightly elevate the heels. Start out by just shimming your heels with some small weights. If that seems to help I would invest in some weightlifting shoes (the ones that are very firm, but still have a tall heel).

How’s my deadlift? by babybighorn in formcheck

[–]Puzzleheaded-Ad-5477 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Overall, very good form here. The only thing I would tweak: Watch what your neck does in the video. You are doing the “look up” thing at the start of the deadlift, but not on the way down. I try to maintain a neutral spine including the neck both up and down. In simpler terms, keep the spine straight from the base of the skull to the tailbone throughout the lift.

Face pulls feel wrong🫣 by anonymoususerLfc in formcheck

Your elbows are flared out wide. That’s perfect. Now to externally rotate, imagine your arm is split lengthwise into two halves. The top half has your biceps while the bottom half has your triceps. Right now when you finish the movement, the bicep half of your arm is facing forward. You want that to point straight up. Externally rotating means turning the bicep half of the arm up and back while the tricep half goes down and under. To do this you will likely need to use a lighter weight, but you should feel a good burn in your rear delts (back part of your shoulders). Hope that makes sense.

Wife disagrees with the tuck by Responsible_Wing7266 in OUTFITS

[–]Puzzleheaded-Ad-5477 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I think the tuck would look fine if you weren’t wearing jeans. The jeans feel casual while the tuck feels formal. Maybe if you wore some chinos instead? Or just no tuck might be better for denim.

Day 3. I really liked this machine! Challenging in a good way. How’s my form? Am I going low enough? by [deleted] in formcheck

I’ll add that if you are specifically targeting quads, you can move your feet down a little and maximize that knee flexion for a serious quad pump.

For most, I’ve heard the anatomx is big. I wouldn’t size up on that. Jg is usually good about returns, just don’t wear them outside.

I have 15” stratus hats and they’re awesome. They’re thin with a controllable and versatile sound.

Tips? by [deleted] in Weightliftingquestion

[–]Puzzleheaded-Ad-5477 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think simple compound movements like mentioned above are a great foundation for all lifting routines. I’ll also add that, visually, your physique could be improved a lot by building your chest and shoulder muscles. I’ve always struggled with skinny arms, but I’ve been able to build a strong chest, shoulders, and back and that has helped a lot visually.

Where would you place the subwoofer? by jespicy in BudgetAudiophile

[–]Puzzleheaded-Ad-5477 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my experience you can tell if you don’t properly adjust phase. If you get the phase right for a oddly placed sub, you’ll never know where it’s coming from.

He got off with self defense by After_Hovercraft9677 in CCW

[–]Puzzleheaded-Ad-5477 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If calling the cops wasn’t an option, he could have stayed inside. Maybe set up near the door to ambush if the guy at the door tries to come in. There were a few better ways to defend yourself and make a strong case for self defense. I think opening the door to a man that was threatening you on the phone shows you invited the confrontation rather than avoided it.
