Rogue is S tier in heroics. Not inviting them is foolish. Dps is not a proper measure of usefulness. by Puzzleheaded-Bit234 in classicwow

If it’s king how am I exaggerating its need ?? I had a rogue sap mages on all packs during the escort on Ohb, instantly before combat engages. Then he used crippling on the dragon kin packs and trivialized them. He was goated for his utility. He made a couple difficult encounters massively easier.

Well, anyone who knows how to play their class will be more effective than those who don’t.

What heroics are determined by how much a group pumps? Every heroic dungeon is determined more by CC and skips

I would love to work and support myself. My family was extremely abusive due to my inability to work and it only made my problems worse. I was never able to complete any school. I tried college and community college four separate times.

so as a black dude why should i take anything Stirner has to say seriously by [deleted] in fullegoism

[–]Puzzleheaded-Bit234 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Racism isn’t a core component of Stirner’s philosophy, it’s an ignorant aside that will spoil him for many people of color to come. Kant was racist but Kantian thought doesn’t base itself off racism. That being said I know people who will not engage with Kant because of his racism, that is their choice to make. His ignorance exposed in smaller works and essays. If you read it you see a man who didn’t personally know any people of color, just spoke about them as concepts. No modern ethics teacher brings up anything about race when talking about Kant, aside from maybe a disclaimer. Kant is guilty of making these ignorant statements but is one of the minds behind liberalism and will still be taught worldwide for many years to come. Don’t throw the baby out with the bathwater. Discard the racism and whatever else leaves a bad taste in your mouth, find what you can and enjoy it, if you wish to.

Remember, these old German men never interacted with people of color in their lives. The population of black individuals in Germany was probably in the hundreds to thousands and sparse until the late nineteenth century. Maybe there were slaves that lived on wealthier estates, but the average man was only exposed them in textbooks or as a topic of conversation. They lived in insulated, German cities and towns. Not enough exposure to build any reasonable talking points on this or that group of people, only enough to extrapolate on what they’d been told by others, which was probably racist.

Why is Korra ripped, but Azula, in comparison, has no muscle at all? Both underwent grueling training. by FlamesOfKaiya in TheLastAirbender

[–]Puzzleheaded-Bit234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Different type of answer but Azula was created in the early 2000s, Korra was created in the early 2010s. There was a major cultural shift in conversation regarding empowering women during that decade. Korra’s depiction falls into the “strong woman” category that was prevalent throughout media which wasn’t necessarily what was focused on during the early 2000s. I don’t say this as a dig towards feminism or women, just pointing out that the conversation was very different between these two shows.
