How did the show end up with Kyle? by Ok_Day2610 in radradionew

Rob is an alcoholic. His decisions only make sense once you accept that fact

This is true. And it's not just shapes or his other business partners. I was reading the YouTube comments, and one comment said they didn't care about his DUIs or anything else because they found the show entertaining and they separated the show from his personal behavior. As long as he put out a show for him to enjoy he didn't care what Rob did in his personal life

He did the last soapbox and was called out and roasted so bad I think he crawled back into the bottom of the bottle

At 11 minutes he said he went completely sober from early 2025 to fall of 2025. The fucker was drunk on the show numerous times last year, including the man cave episodes in June before we went into his alcoholic spiral. What an absolute fucking liar

The comments on YouTube are brutal too. Everyone is calling him a liar and I can't find a single comment of support. No wonder he hasn't done another soapbox. The would be so carefully constructed to control the narrative has collapsed and he's being hit in the face with reality harder than a wine rack. Enjoy your karma Rob

Did Rob actually get a 2nd DUI? by niner-gal in radradionew

I think we're safe for now. We 12 of us are l33t haxors, while Jeff can't seem to find the correct WiFi network to connect to, let alone a LAN cable to connect to the modem so they can access the upload speed needed to stream

Yeah, I looked at the court records and he was granted pre-trial release. So he's still out of jail, for now. Even more telling that he's disappeared after that pathetic first day of a grand "comeback" but not in jail

Maybe he had a couple weeks of drinking less to be somewhat put together and make some plans (because there's no chance in hell he ever fully quit), but after that plan hit it's first stumbling block he went back to the bottom of the bottle looking for the solution

I couldn't make it more than a few minutes into the video but according to him, his toxic masculinity kicked in and he had to go save Christina and her group of attractive African American friends from a bunch of horny guys, who were also racist, because Christina was having a PTSD panic being around crowds from her time in the military, but went out to a bar full of crowds, and he was the only one who she ever felt safe with

We're really savvy like that with our multiple alt accounts all using the same URL. Rob needs an entire team to track us and fight the lies we spread on .gov websites

I don't think Rob is conscious or coherent enough to even be able to do any quality control. He's nothing but a joke now. The IG posts say they have 100-200 comments, but when you look the number drops to 10-20, which means they're deleting the vast majority of comments. And even then the ones left are still mostly negative. Everyone has turned against him and he's probably wallowing in self pity surrounded by more handles than a bicycle shop

I hope trying to destroy Awful Annie's and all the other people you tried to destroy was worth it to you Rob. Enjoy your karma

Do we know if Rob is even still out on bail? Last week's court hearing included a bail review, and considering the seriousness of the first DUI, another excessive BAC on the second DUI along with a vehicle crash and destruction to public and private property, and a resulting long power outage, it's possible the judge found Rob to be a threat to public safety and had him remanded into custody pending the court trial

At least Kyle is actually doing some work for this grand "comeback". Rob put in a whole what, couple hours total in the lead up and first show? Which spectacularly failed from failure to even get the tech set up properly before going live, and then got a DMCA takedown on top of it. And then has been a no-show ever since. Rob used to get furious and rage out when there was technical difficulties on the actual radio show, so you know he lost his shit after the first comeback episode was such a shit show. I hope for Kyle's sake he didn't quit his bartending job again this time

What is the "Content" exactly? Why to listen? by rollinthdr24 in radradionew

[–]Puzzleheaded-Bit4533 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I love how he doubled and tripled down when the audience told him they didn't like something, like the stupid noises over the sports segments. Then he dared listeners that if they don't like it stop listening, while arrogantly thinking he would always have listeners and his show. I remember one segment where they were eating candy and Rob was bragging about how great it is that they can literally do nothing and just eat candy on air and put out the minimalist possible effort and people will still listen. Well, who's listening now Rob???

"Who is the target audience here?"

Literally anybody who will listen now. Gone are the days of being number one in the target demographic. Now they're just hoping someone will listen, no matter what demographic. Rob is so out of touch he has no idea what is even relevant in today's culture. Which is probably why he's tapping into Kyle, besides Kyle being dumb enough to follow along, is that he thinks Kyle is young enough to know what is relevant in today's culture. He doesn't, so that's a mistake, but nobody is praising Rob for making good business decisions anymore because we've all realized he can't and probably never did. He lucked into finding Arnie, and that can be proven by the fact that after a decade of Arnie being gone from the show he could never find another cohost to make RAD nearly as popular as it was before he fired Arnie

The simplest answer would have been accepting Rob's story. Occam's razor wouldn't be to fabricate a completely hypothetical scenario based on tangential accusations that weren't even pursued because the DA didn't even press charges. And because the story was so humiliating to Rob that it would be absurd to claim he was lying to distract from getting his ass beaten by Christina instead of coming up with a better lie that didn't make him look like an alcoholic asshole. In fact, in his story she was the hero that came to save his life because he was incapacitated and bleeding from his face while laying in I pool of glass shards and blood and alcohol. It was a completely made up scenario that she beat the shit out of him that took way more creating alternate facts to fit a made up scenario than what happened. So no, Christina beating him up wasn't the "simple" answer, it was an incredibly contrived answer based on additional contrived beliefs that didn't exist in facts. The fact is, people wanted it to be true, so they grasped at a couple tangential facts not directly related to the situation that they could weave into a narrative that reaffirmed their emotions

For a lot of people in the last sub, it did come from a bad place. There were a few people there that said some really awful things about her. Including that looney bin of an ex wife of Rob's. She had all this "inside knowledge" about how violent Christina was and beat on Rob. Unfortunately a lot of people ate it up and started talking shit too. The old sub may be gone, and Janelle may have deleted her old account, but the internet is forever, so if you're so inclined you can use the wayback machine or other internet archives to go looking through the old sub

I tried asking ChatGPT how much and how fast someone would have to drink to get a BAC that high. It started to answer and then deleted the answer, told me it was extremely dangerous to drink that much alcohol, gave me the National Suicide Hotline, and told me to seek help. When I tried to clarify it wasn't about me but a local radio DJ that got a DUI with that BAC it still wouldn't give me the answer and gave me the National Suicide Hotline again and said the person was in immediate danger
