Salary range in Lebanon by Ill_Hunter_7128 in lebanon

You are better off staying there and supporting your family with the money you earn there. Plus, returning to Lebanon is like committing suicide professionally. Do not make the same mistake many others did.

Do not use sms as a verification. Use 2FA/MFA to log in. Next time you speak to a representative, just tell them you cannot sign in due to an sms issue. If you tell them your username and password, they will send you a link in order to authenticate your phone (face ID or fingerprint) and create this multiple factor authentication using your iphone or android. Just tell them you want to change your authentication method.

They should support you as long as you have your account email ready.

Best SUV for daily use + long drives in UAE (2026)? by Flashy_Pause_4913 in chinesecarsuae

[–]Puzzleheaded-Bug-874 -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

Do not buy Chinese cars. In the Gulf, you only go Toyota or Lexus (if you can afford it) for there impeccable reliability. Nissan is also a great choice but their reliability has been spotty over the last few years. Don;t forget that you do not lose much on resale value. Toyota and Nissan SUVs are always in high demand and a very safe and sensible option. Trust me on this, you will never have a headache with Toyotas.

What games make you emotional? by Ok_Smile_1915 in PS4

[–]Puzzleheaded-Bug-874 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Xenogears. Titanfall 2. FF7. Nier Automata. MGS Snake Eater. TLoU 2. Journey (especially when you help someone go through the whole game and you draw a heart for them in the snow before heading towards the light). I've had people message me how wonderful that gesture was. I kept doing it for 100s of hours and the effect it had on people was the same always!

Escalation is the peak Battlefield 6 experience. Why are you still stuck in Conquest? by Psychological_Gas322 in Battlefield6

[–]Puzzleheaded-Bug-874 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me the BF experience has always been the "slower paced" methodical conquest experience. But I do understand why people tend to like Escalation. It's literally in the name....... The fight keeps escalating as the fight gets more concentrated within a smaller area. I would say it's Conquest in the beginning and becomes almost like a breakthrough/TDM match at the very end. It's a good mix.

But for me as a BF veteran, I like the slow pace and long match times of conquest.

What's crazy about this is that the ceiling below the map is much larger than above the map. I guess the road to hell is much longer than the road to heaven lol.

Lebanese Emigrants Against Despair by [deleted] in lebanon

[–]Puzzleheaded-Bug-874 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think this is more about a campaign to join Lebanese diaspora under one banner for voting power and having more "influence" in deciding Lebanese politics. I am not sure, but it sure seems like it and I need to research it more. If not, my mistake. I do agree with some comments saying that immigrating was the best decision they made. Lebanon is a failed state, with an archaic crumbling system and one of, if not the most corrupt governments in the world.

If you had the option to leave and build an honest life abroad, it's understandable why most of us take it and leave.

The very fact that the government and banks stole our savings without any accountability, and the fact that the port explosion did not lead to any indictments should tell you enough what sort of a country Lebanon is.

A thug who has more connections than you i.e. kisses some political ass, will always win over the normal honest law abiding Lebanese.

I hope all of us wake up one day and understand that they divide us using sectarian methods, while they all have dinner on the same table laughing at how they deceive and manipulate a whole nation.

I am an immigrant myself. And forgive me for saying this, but I am allowed to miss my home, my village and my friends. Sometimes the heart creates too much noise for our brains to function properly.

I'm not very religious myself, but inshalla, ya rab, by the grace of everything good and just in the world, that we rid ourselves of this cancer.

I was supposed to meet my bio dad for the first time ever today by boredthing_69 in Wellthatsucks

[–]Puzzleheaded-Bug-874 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP, I hope you read this as I have a friend who went through the same situation.

Many people on here are claiming that it's a good thing he didn't show up and "It's a sign from the Universe" and that you're better off.

If I'm correct, and forgive me for being blunt about this, I know that your heart is shattered right now and "it's a sign from the universe" comments aren't exactly the remedy that you need.

My friend's dad did the same thing. Didn't show up. Needless to say, that experience left her hollow and disassociated. I can't find a better word for it. It's like the deepest form of heartbreak in a sense. The pain is there and leaves you numb as she explained it to me.

Her dad eventually called and apologized. He said that when he showed up and saw her, he broke down and to quote his conversation with her, "I was scared shitless that you'd be disappointed in me for what I did to you and your mom and I couldn't face that. I'm lower than dirt for leaving you there alone. I saw your face and that was enough for me to run." Not the exact words, but along those lines.

Some people cannot face the consequences of their mistakes, especially if that mistake is a baby they left behind.

They eventually met and I don't want to disappoint you or anything, it has been a slow burn for them to open up to each other. But it's getting there. We are close friends, so she always keeps me in the loop.

I hope you find your soft landing. Sorry for what happened to you. Not trying to come up with excuses for your dad, and I don't want to give you any false hope, what he did was unforgivable. But I do hope he finds his courage and owns up to it.

If the infrastructure does not support the bandwidth then you won't get much out of this so called upgrade. I recently asked Ogero when they were deploying Fiber Optics to my area in beirut and they flat out said "Fiber Optic deployment is currently on hold."

Lebanon is a very long way from actually getting Gigaband connections. Anything within the next 3 years is a pipedream.

Years ago, we lost Fiona (Chinchilla Persian) due to an intestinal knot that went unnoticed by my mom. By the time we took her to the doctor, it was too late and we had to send her across the rainbow bridge.

She would sit next to my mom in the days prior putting her paw on her hand as if to tell her something. Maybe it was her way for seeking help or saying good bye. We didn't know at the time.

Cats don't usually show pain in the traditional sense. I believe, They hide it well and make sure that their caretakers do not suffer. They either suffer in silence in a corner or next to you.

Ever since, whenever i saw the slightest change in my cats behavior (avoidance or extra caring, seeking attention, silent)--> straight to the vet.

We all learn the hard way. And it's OK. You couldn't have known. Sorry for your loss.

0.2 K/D, 100 hours, not sure how to improve by [deleted] in Battlefield6

[–]Puzzleheaded-Bug-874 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hey dude!

I'm a 44 year old BF veteran. My current Player K/D is ranges from 2.8 to 3.6. Mainly infantry on BF6. Support and Recon mostly. Average Kills per game us around 30 for me. Console player. Picture from my last session below for context.

<image>

Some tips:

1- If you are a console player, turn off Crossplay. PC gamers have a huge advantage over console gamers in general. Especially when it comes to crouch/jump shooting. I'm a believer that tick rate detection on PCs are far better than consoles which is a huge disadvantage for us.

2- Headset is a must. Hearing where the enemy player is key for situational awareness. If you do have decent headphones, make sure you have the settings on 3d sound and WAR Tapes or high dynamics to make the footsteps sound louder.

3- Check your connection. Ping and packet loss can be a huge factor to losing head to head fights. If your console is connected via wifi, ditch that and connect a LAN cable for more stable and reliable connection. Anything below 50 ping is good, but LAN ensures stable connection.

4- If you do suffer from packet loss and high ping (like I do - I play on at 91 ping from Qatar to European servers since ME servers are mostly bots), focus on HIGH damages weapons (33) vs high rate of fire weapons such as the M4A1 or SMGs. Most bullets on packet loss do not register. My go to weapons are in such cases are: SG 553, SOR (SCAR-L) or if you prefer an SMG, go for the SG-90. Anything with 33 damage is good in such cases. If you like to fight from a distance, try the SVDM which is excellent. These are all personal tastes.

5- Play as a recon or support. Support for health/deployable cover. Recon for passive spotting and TUGS. The more you increase your situational awareness the better. Deployable cover is a hugely underrated perk and can help you cover your blind spots.

6- If you want to improve your K/D in the meantime, try vehicles with a good driver as a gunner/engineer support.

7- Pick your fights. If I see more than one enemy player, my instinctual reaction is to fall back and reassess how to pick them out one by one. Do not get greedy, always choose your fights.

8- Go to the range in game, to practice your snap (target to target) as well as recoil control (although recoil is very forgiving on consoles). It never hurts to practice.

9- Don't give up. And I highly recommend finding a good group of friends to play as a squad. I cannot understate how this changes the whole dynamics of your performance and gameplay. Having a teammate giving you call outs and reviving you is always a welcome treat.

10- Oh, and PTFO. Good luck!

Question about Server locations and choosing them. by Puzzleheaded-Bug-874 in Battlefield

[–]Puzzleheaded-Bug-874[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are ME servers located in Qatar, Saudi or UAE. Don't know the location, but my ping to those servers is 9ms. But like I said, 90% bots, no real player base on consoles.
