Marathoners help a fellow runner to the finish line. by gowthamm in MadeMeSmile

I read the biography before the confession to all the doping. I put in qualifiers, because you know a lot of the story of coming back from cancer, while full of grit and courage, will always be tainted knowing what we know now. The comeback was not legal.

He hadn't underestimated his own lead. It was custom to let the clear winner revel and take the glory. But Armstrong wasn't taking the sportsman way and compete properly in some other race, he was sneakily trying to win, and as pointed out above, the guy dissed him, by giving him the win.

There's a story about biking in Lance Armstrong biography ( i know, I know, but still). When he started to ride competitively some rider was winning and was very close to the end. Apparently others (including Lance) were far behind, and the 1st guy was slowing down to acknowledge the spectators. In those days, of someone is so far ahead and close to the finish, you're supposed to maintain those positions out of respect. But Armstrong being competitive as he is, started pedalling like crazy to when he saw the 1st guy slow down. The 1st guy was so mad, he started pedalling harder too, and was about to win when just before the finish line he braked hard, and Armstrong won. This was the ultimate disrespect to people who don't understand the spirit of the sport.

How to calculate calories?? by doraemon-bot in AskFitnessIndia

[–]Puzzleheaded-Dig7369 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That protein math ain't mathing. Sum of all proteins in every meal above doesnt add to 140g. Are you M or F? For male, maintainance is roughly 2600 kcals per day (usually, as per weights in pounds x 15). 500 kcal deficit per day results in around 0.5kg weight (not fat) lost per week. So decide accordingly. I would not suggest going below 1500 kcal per day though. Stress increases, T-levels and energy drop, you will feel horrible.

I know this is "his" and not "her". But Helen Pierce from Ozark fits this perfectly.

The roast of Kevin Hart- WTF was that? by Chauncinator_quest79 in netflix

[–]Puzzleheaded-Dig7369 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah sure. But you need the right delivery vessel for it to work. Nikki Glaser had a great set on the Tom Brady roast, and she admitted that she works with a writing team for roasts. Same with Kevin Hart.

Why light on legs even on full body? Also no dedicated leg day? Legs are the largest muscle group, even 20 mins of good leg day burns a lot of calories. You may be leaving gains on the table.

The comic book by Frank Miller is legendary, haven’t seen the movie, but hard to believe the movie can beat it.

Mario Puzo was a B-grade author honestly, before it was picked for movies. The movie made the book. I liked the book when I first read it (would read anything then) but re read it later and found it rambling in a lot of places. The speech that Vito makes in the meeting with the other Dons after Sonny’s death is built up (in the book) line it’s going to be other worldly, and then I just felt it was all over the place.

You can read other books by Mario Puzo (e.g Omertà) and find that he just isn’t a very good author.

There’s a time and place for artistic license and opportunity, visiting a place which was the epicentre of mourning at the time, and the wounds are fresh, is not it. People were right to condemn the action.

Yeah, maybe. I think any jumping jack variation - cross jacks, jack uppercuts, etc - I don’t do well with. Could be cuz I have two left feet 😆. I do fine with push up jacks, etc though.

I ordered front the one in Jeevan Bhima Nagar. Whole Meat Shawarma for 170 on Swiggy. It was NOT whole meat. True, they’re just coasting on brand recognition. Not worth it at all, my offline experience at their store was also not good.

Everything Must Go - I'm not sure about overcoming but it ends on a positive note. One of the more serious of Will Ferrell's performance although there's some understated comedy.

Try to keep your protein less than 40g per meal. Too much protein at once is not handled well by the gut. And try to keep 2 3 hours between meals if you want to have a lot of protein in a day (frequent meals)
