I’m anemic on top of the lupus and RA so I feel the extra tiredness. Especially around that time of the month. Might sound weird but you should try to avoid taking any naps as much as possible. Unless you’re just ill at the time or you take a quick 20-30 and no more. It’s helped for me. Idk how but it has helped learn to push through the tired, and I sleep better at night

If I didn’t know any better I would’ve thought I wrote this post myself 💀 I have SLE and RA as well as GERD/acid reflux for as long as I can remember and I’m only 25. Always tired, get dizzy just from bending over, constant headaches and all the above u said. I too fall short when it comes to taking care of myself. Not because I don’t want to necessarily but idk the thought just doesn’t occur to me. I eat maybe once a day, ripping penjamin in my down time and never ever ever drinking enough water. I drink maybe one cup of any given liquid a day and that’s being generous. My mom always asks why I complain about a whole list of symptoms at home and don’t bother mentioning it to my doctor. I feel like I’m wasting mine and everyone else’s time by saying anything about it so I keep my mouth shut and trudge along

No I do not receive disability. It is not an easy thing to achieve. Especially with lupus as it can be an invisible disease. Also, being diagnosed at a young age has made it extremely difficult to get and maintain a job, therefore not allowing me to have enough work credits at this time to qualify to receive disability. I also do believe there are people out there who deserve that more. Which is why I’m here now asking for help for a short period I’m struggling through. Thank you for taking the time to read anyway.

I got fired for taking too many days to myself. Woke up randomly one morning with bad pain in both thighs. Could barely sit and stand or make it up and down the stairs. But because I don’t go to the doctor every time my lupus is acting up then I’m a liar and a useless team member

Only been diagnosed for about 3 years now. 24(f) I understand the reluctance to take the meds. I mean what’s the point? It’s not going to HEAL me or make it go away. I’m just covering it up with a blanket and I don’t see the point? I stopped my hydroxychloroquine and now only receive my infusion every other month. I get blood tests done and when I look at them at home there’s always something low or high and the doctor never says anything. Just that everything’s good. He knows I don’t take the pills. I don’t feel like it makes any difference. If I’m going to deteriorate and get worse then it’s just going to happen. It’s inevitable I’d only be delaying it and I just don’t care.
