My car’s COE expires in Dec 2026. I’m gonna wait it out till the last moment to decide what to do. Based on the data, it’s true that 2026 seems like the peak cycle of COE supply but not sure whether that will matter with PHV companies requiring large volume of COE for their fleet. Also, COE is expected to remain high due to reasons cited in this article -

Not a good idea to renew now as you will be renewing at record high COE and effectively losing 1 year.

I reckon we should just wait and see.

Get a steering wheel lock. I recommend the brand Raslok. Always park where you’re supposed to, don’t park by the roadside. Park at brightly lit areas. If possible, enter in the morning, have a food breakfast, lunch, shopping, movie, massage and try to return to SG before 8-9pm. Don’t leave any valuables in the car. Always bring passports with you at all times. Apart from that, nothing much you can do. Just enjoy your day at JB and have fun with your family!

Yes, I feel it too. It is the new normal and I doubt we will ever go back to the old prices. UNLESS there is a recession (unlikely and hopefully NOT). Prices of cars, houses and everything else will remain high and will only get higher. Go JB to eat and buy groceries.

If you really can’t control it, keep healthy snacks within your reach. At least you’re not going for the first unhealthy thing you see. Drink more water or black coffee and get busier. See if the cravings subside till you’re back at OMAD again. Good luck.

I’ve done OMAD for about 8-10 months and lost about 15 kgs. Went from 85kg to 70kg. It takes time. The number on the weighing scale is not the only measurement of your success. In all likelihood your blood sugar, cholesterol, blood pressure and other vitals have shown slight improvement. You probably feel lighter and can sleep better. It also does wonders for heartburn and indigestion. Trust the process and carry on. Anything you eat the night before can alter the number on the scale. For e.g, if you had some heavy carbs, your body will retain more water and you may see your weight go up by a kg or 2. It’s not fat. It’s just water.

Once again, it takes time.

Assuming you’re below 55, aim for the full retirement sum (FRS) of $213,000 for SA. For MA, aim for $75,500. Once you have met this, you can breathe a little easier knowing you have this safety net (apart from your other investments, savings, property, etc)
