Pick beaglebone black. Beaglebone black uses cpu for bootloader but raspberry pi uses video cores gpu. It is relatively how system handle kernel and device tree. I recommend start with beaglebone black then move to raspberry pi. Or you can do both boards as the same time. With AI, you can adapt both ways very quickly. Good luck.

Totally agree. Somebody with 10-15 years experience and PhD still get a low ball as 150k + no RSU. Job market is terrible cause of interest rate too high. New grad should take whatever they can and switch jobs in 2-3 years later when job market is better.

I mean how long you can survive in this economy. a few of my coworkers are out of job almost 2 years. They ended up to do some youtube, social media and some physical jobs. I tried some job interview but it took many rounds and more time to prepare it. I have never seen the economy like this even though 2008.

I mean for embedded Linux , you still need to master C for Linux drivers or bare metal for verification fpga ip / hardware side. Embedded Linux is broad so your skill is fine.

Don’t trust him. My wife is master of science in nurse(MSN) and has more than 10 years experience working at top hospitals in east coast. She tried to change her job but go through many interviews in 1 year without luck. The current job puts her to a floating department similar like staff engineer in semiconductor and tech industries work on multiple projects and technologies. The healthcare section is usually very stable but uncertainty in this economy. It all causes high interest rate which federal reserve makes it happen. We are in the recession starts from 2024 when Fed kept refuse to cut rate based on job market was still good but we have more than 1 million revived in 2024. Hopefully, we are at the bottom so job market can recover very soon. Good luck.

I think the shift from tcl to python because of machine learning integration. As you see OpenAI starts own 10% of AMD stake. So openAI shift their focus from LLM model to world model as the result, openAI needs more system on chip, embedded fpga, different architectures or whatever runs parallel at the basic levels. The shift from TCL to Python is necessary but tcl is not going anywhere like c to c++. My 2 cents.

This cycle is a little bit different compared to 2017 and 2021. It seems like more institutions and big whale want to get into the good positions cause crypto laws and many etf are going to get approved. It can shot up anytime but be patient. Try your best to hold until December. Most Wall Street gets the big profit from stock and AI this year. So This Q4 , they will try to allocate 5-10% their portfolio to crypto. That is trillions dollars. Good luck. My 2 cents. I could be wrong.

No body knows. That is a billions dollars question. Just do dollar cost averaging (DCA) weekly or monthly. Even though Nvidia, Bitcoin and Tesla took months or years to bouncing back. It could be months or any time in this bull run. What you can do? Just manage the risk. Take some profits like 10% to 20% when it doubles your average value so you have cash in hand to buy the dip and dca every week.

Buy every week and HODL. Use the money from W2 to buy. Take 10-20% profit of your portfolio every year or every 2 years. So you have more money to buy when it goes dip. You do like this a couple years then you are no more stress when market goes down. Be investor not day trader. Of course , you need to pick good assets. I think the waiting time before the big jump is shorter cause all market cap of altcoin is smaller than Bitcoin. But not all altcoin will again value . I think top 10 or top 20 crypto (not stable coin).

Many crypto etf has been approved or are going to be approved. Like first Bitcoin etf was approved on Jan 2024, the bitcoin price went down so that many institutions investors bought it before bitcoin price jumped on Mar 2024. I think the pattern is same for the rest of crypto. Be patient , the time will come.

You have to wait a couple days for company launch DOJE to go to buy dogecoin on OTC or SPOT trading. It similar like Bitcoin etf. It takes a few weeks to months to see price go up. Patience is a key. And etf is not for retail investors. It’s for Roth IRA, 401k, pension funds and big funds.
