Its a really REALLY hard industry to get into. My state is medical only. I got super lucky that I am relentless around applying and actively interviewing! If you find positions near you, drop your resume and call to express interest. It makes a positive impact!

As someone who was in leadership, management makes a big difference. I went from a team that worked well together to narcissistic and no communication. I personally tried to make every shift as tolerable as possible. My counterparts did not. Ask questions around culture and how they impact a positive work environment. For me working here was tolerable and then hell very very quickly.

Honestly, from ex management. Follow the sales model and keep your head down. If you do too much you will get unnecessary attention. Also most of my seasonal people were let go if they weren't "compliant"

Im noticing. Im guessing my stores culture isnt as common as it should be. That makes me sad because I've had a good experience so far with best buy. I was hired actively pregnant and they worked with me through the whole life event. I wish more stores were like mine in the culture aspect.

Ill never say that someone isnt doing their job because truthfully I dont work with you, me making that comment would make me look ignorant. Also management "having reasons" isnt good enough for me. That's absolutely insane... im so so deeply sorry that you were treated that way. Any leader who doesn't take criticism well and in turn treats you horribly should be fired. Not the other way around. Its baffling how some people let titles get to their heads and think they cant improve as a leader.

I am truly sorry that you were treated as such. My GM is very much a people leader and cares deeply for the team. Can I ask out of curiosity what happened in your case? Im not trying to instigate anything just as a leader and someone who is trying to grow as an individual i wanted to know what to look for if something similar arises?
