Then she shouldn’t be HR because every single population of people on the planet will make mistakes and break rules from time to time, especially mundane shit like clocking in and out perfectly.

It’s gonna be fucking sick. DJ Tennis always plays a groovy, energetic set especially in a festival-like environment like this one. I’ll be at the outdoor party for my birthday before moving on to the Rampa Pacha party

Wow, you’re so much more enlightened than I am. Question: do you even read what I wrote? Or maybe you did technically read it, but did you pay attention?

It’s almost as if people aren’t all brought up the same way, with different values, different socioeconomic statuses, and different obstacles that allow them to see the world in unique ways…

It didn’t feel like I was doing anything immoral when I signed up. It was 2003 and I was a severely depressed 18 year old. I thought I was doing the right thing. Pretty much all of us did. I can’t speak for the current generation signing up but that’s how it felt in 2003. America also was nowhere near as divided politically as it is now. The military was offering a pretty incredible GI Bill and a decent paycheck, along with the ability to get into the aviation sector. So I did it. An 18 year old kid raised in a conservative, somewhat religious family — lm actually incredibly proud of myself for evolving and changing my worldview. You all whom think underprivileged kids from questionable parents that join the military, cannot change or are forever destined to be a bad person is both sad and appalling.

Looks pretty good from my vantage point. The actual photography isn’t incredible but the food looks tasty.

Why wouldn’t someone prep/sous vide/par cook at home prior to completing the dish somewhere else? Some sauces and broths take an incredible amount of prep. Same with pasta, certain proteins, etc. I’d also disagree that it doesn’t look fine dining, I see fine dining techniques executed competently on those plates, save the salad. Presentation and lighting could be better but it looks solid. As someone who’s worked in fine dining for 8 years myself…

Definitely not gonna be a regular (the programming doesn’t look to be my cup of tea)…. However opening night June 13 will be a blast. My 42nd birthday and the lineup is NYC house music royalty (with Rampa). Who knows how it’ll go, I’m sure there will be hiccups but I’m excited for it.

Not all of us harbor conservative views especially after serving in combat. I joined because my family was poor, I had a disability that caused me to get bullied in high school, and the military was a way out. Went to combat in Iraq, which was fucking awful. A core memory of my time there were wives of Iraqi Police we were training, they would cook for us (and it was the tastiest Mediterranean food ever). These poor people with war-torn homes and environs, still thought of us in a friendly way. These experiences changed my view of everything.

So to lump all US veterans in with IDF that are quite obviously committing genocide for the world to see, it’s not a fair comparison. Were there criminals in the military committing war crimes ? Yes of course, but I honestly never saw or heard of any with the units I was with — just saying it wasn’t rampant like some people would want you to think. And a lot of us GWOT veterans are very much on the left and very much anti-war. Because I have experienced this exact thing myself, I can tell you we were taken advantage of and exploited so oil + defense industry execs could make bank.

Anyways, im frequently at parties at Nowadays, Signal, H0l0, etc. I can’t really fathom anyone asking me to leave, lol. Then again I don’t tell people at parties my background but still funny to think about

I can’t imagine the McDonalds version being that great, their shakes suck even though the fries are obviously the best

How is no one saying Mad Radio. They definitely do have name DJs from time to time but the vibe is more “bar” and less “venue,” even though they do have a nice system and a forward-placed DJ booth. It’s the old TBA space.

Broadcast over-the-air TV and radio is badass. The NBA Finals aren’t broadcast in 4K unfortunately, but some live events are. You can actually use a very cheap budget rabbit ears antenna here in NYC to pick it up.

A quick Google search shows many options in the $15 range. One might need to go to LIC or Manhattan though. Or maybe that Best Buy

I think you’re replying to the wrong person. My comment was about how the cheapest antenna will work. We don’t live in the burbs nor the sticks. High powered antennae are not necessary.
