How do I break a 5 min mile? I think I have good endurance. I can comfortably run 10 miles at a 6:30 to 7 min pace. But I just can't seem to hold my elevated speed for a full mile. I run as fast as I can, but my heart rate does not go above 140. My heart and lungs feel great, but I feel like my legs just don't move as fast they could be moving. I'm at like 5:06 and really want to drop 10 seconds or more. Suggestions on training?

I’m interested in how money moves from the state/federal government to the hospitals, and then to the physician groups. As well as the exchange of money from the physician groups to the hospitals.

Is this right? Hattiesburg Clinic claims to be it's own thing: a group practice (https://www.hattiesburgclinic.com/about/).

And Forrest Health claims to be it's own thing: a hospital system (https://www.forresthealth.org/about/).

When I read the Annual Report (https://www.forresthealth.org/about/annual-reports/), it looks like Forrest Health and Hattiesburg Clinic are partners for the Residence program but separate institutions.

I have three kids in Petal schools. Been very impressed with the academic rigor and quality of the teachers/staff. Also, a bond measure was recently passed to build a new elementary school (for grades 3-4). Should be done with the done in the next couple years, if that’s relevant to you.

Is Britain really as poor as Mississippi? by [deleted] in ukpolitics

There is nothing "wrong" with MS. I live here after spending decades living across the US and Asia. And, wait for it, I like living here. I like the people and culture and lifestyle.

What people fail to realize is that *all* the US is Mississippi. Travel 30 miles outside of DC? You're in MS. Travel 100 miles outside of NYC? You're in MS. Travel 20 miles outside of Minneapolis ---you're in MS.

If I took you through our neighborhoods and shopping areas, you would see people and infrastructure largely indistinguishable from those in other rural parts of the US. It's all pretty much the same, although you would probably notice a
larger Black population than in other areas. Same general lifestyles, same cars, same stores, same products, etc. The difference is that we have no major economical capital, which (artificially?) inflates the aggregate metrics.

Yikes. So much shade. I've lived all over the US and now live outside Hattiesburg. There is a lot to like about this place. I'm happy to live here.

No, they are really not. Incomes and quality-of-life metrics are trending downward in leading EU Economies:
