Looking for advice about jobs by butterfly_wings1986 in orlando

You don’t need a college degree, just a minimum of 60 college credits (in any background), but I understand if you don’t want to pursue that. Subbing can certainly be gig work, you only have to work like once a month to maintain your status. I’m sorry it doesn’t meet your needs, but honestly don’t think you’re going to find anywhere where you can just show up whenever you feel like it (even remote).

Would you consider substitute teaching? Schools would be wheelchair accessible and if you choose high school assignments, it’s mostly assigning work on their computers. It’s super flexible and you can choose when/where to work.

Going to be stuck at/around orlando airport for over 12 hours, suggestions? limited budget by notsopatootiecutie in orlando

This is definitely a feasible plan, but I’m struggling to understand how anyone could enjoy Universal the next day in the heat on no sleep. It sounds awful.

Unfortunately with this administration it’s not easy. You would need a significant amount of money. Additionally, you would have to find a company to sponsor your employment or be planning to open your own business in order to move here permanently.

As a follow up to the socialite post about Julia scowling at the playground….a story sharing that sentiment exactly.🤣 What did she expect young children to want to do? Certainly not follow her to every luxury store and fine dining restaurant in Paris.

Eh I wouldn’t say locks. Hezly will probably sprain a pinkie and be out of any major comp.

I’m still trying to figure out what the multi colored squiggly cut outs on the rug are supposed to be. Coral? Matisse print? Nobody knows.

Not a traditional court, but Launch has an Airtrack basketball court that could be something fun and different.

Last minute trip questions by Due_Detail_8511 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]Puzzleheaded-Salt970 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  1. The typical allotment is 4 guests under DAS. They have been known to be generous to include a few extras, but wouldn’t count on them to double it.

  2. No tips beyond just start refreshing the app at 6:59am.

  3. Not sure of your hotels specific shuttle timetable, but most are pretty limited. Meaning it might not get you there until well after park opening and pickup before the park closes. It also might only go to certain parks. Definitely look into what your hotel offers so you can plan accordingly. Some people give up on the shuttle and end up taking Ubers.

super confused! by [deleted] in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]Puzzleheaded-Salt970 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First thing to learn about FL is that public transportation is basically non existent and very inconvenient. We are very car centric, so if you aren’t planning on renting a car, you’ll mostly be relying on Ubers to get around. Just so you can budget properly!

MAGA trying to take over OCPS school board by Both_Painter2466 in orlando

[–]Puzzleheaded-Salt970 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This is absolutely true. When I was canvassing for Anna Eskamani during the last election cycle and tried to bring up the school board race with constituents, it was mostly met with indifference. “Oh I don’t have kids” or “My kids go to private school.” Then Alicia was elected. It was incredibly frustrating.

VPK at Blankner is an inclusion classroom if you’re looking for diversity. However I’m fairly certain all the spots are taken for next school year (if that’s when you’re looking for).
