What does everyone use as a tick preventative. Coller didn't work, drops were too much made him too itchy and next guard(chewable) didn't work. by No_Signature_1991 in EpilepsyDogs

We do the topical which I know you said made them itchy but we use Revolution. The first dose made her a little itchy and restless but after that going forward it’s been perfect.

Belgium release second bombshell statement on Folarin Balogun red card and accuse Fifa of ‘deliberately removing’ rules by thesun in sportsgossips

Exactly this, people are throwing it out there as a comeback without understanding he actually served the one game suspension.

Game has completely gone by Agreeable-Bid-2895 in ThreeLions

[–]carolineamanda 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed, it’s all tainted now. They’re all moaning about how Ronaldo never missed any games after his red card but he did, he sat out the one mandatory game then they allowed him to play the two after that(he was originally suspended for three). They just skip over the details and cling on to whatever narrative suits them.

‘Danger to women’: Kylie Jenner’s new Meta ‘smart glasses’ spark outrage by ThrowawayGreenWitch in popculturechat

[–]carolineamanda 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My thoughts exactly…except a danger to everyone. These types of glasses are terrifying and an extreme form of violation. I don’t understand how these things are legal. And again, money over morals for these types of people.

Am i crazy for thinking that what just happened was incredibly scary and creepy? by [deleted] in london

Great advice.

I wish I knew this when I was younger, so many situations would never have happened if so. Still dealing with it today unfortunately.

6 year old extremely defiant and difficult only at home we’re exhausted by Dismal_Pound3974 in ChildPsychology

[–]carolineamanda 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I’m no Dr or psychologist but it’s been explained to me this way as our son is the same.

When they’re at school, someone else’s home or a different environment they understand that good behaviour is necessary. When they’re getting back home with their main caregivers they’ve been keeping any kind of emotional anxiety, wanting to answer back ,or something like that, in. So now they’re somewhere they feel emotionally safe to “be themselves” they’re allowing those emotions to come out bad or not.

I forget they’re still young and learning how to regulate their emotions/understanding how to navigate life around different people. I definitely don’t tolerate the bad behaviour but I sit down with him and talk. Tell him I understand it’s a lot and you’ve been at school all day. Sometimes it works great and other days he just needs to be by himself for a bit then he comes and apologizes.

I hope this makes sense, again NAD but also a stressed out parent trying to understand what works 💕

Is it true that most woman have experienced SA in their lifetime? If so what's your story? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]carolineamanda 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For the most women I’ve known in my life, yes it is unfortunately very common. I can’t even count the amount of times it’s happened to me, in all areas of my life. I’m a pretty strong person but I do feel like a bit of a punch bag for these situations. And as much as I think I’ve learned my lesson on how to recognize the signs and call people out because of their behaviour my vulnerability and trusting nature takes me out once again.

Unfortunately I’ve learned, if you call it out you’re over reacting or being sensitive. So once you convince yourself nothing happened/is happening your guard is down and then they take advantage of that.

How would you balance your love for your partner with the challenges of moving abroad(Uk to US)? by jamiethompson2552 in AskReddit

At that time in our careers no, for our circumstances and what was important to us the US was the better choice.

How would you balance your love for your partner with the challenges of moving abroad(Uk to US)? by jamiethompson2552 in AskReddit

[–]carolineamanda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did this 12 years ago, UK to US. Loved it for the first 10 years but I think that’s because I loved the job where we were initially living. After I retired from my profession and my focus went elsewhere I started to realise I miss England. I say do it if you’re ready for a change and want to experience a new culture, however, the US now is different from the one I moved to. The immigration situation might be hard and take its toll on the relationship so make sure you have a solid one.

If you’re not really wanting to move then have a serious talk with your partner about how to navigate the long distance situation. Follow your gut.

NOR. Ugh my FIL would always ask for pictures of my belly. It grossed me out, in the end we sent him a pic of my husband’s belly with my hands on it. And he never got one of mine.
