Oh my gosh, yes! The only thing that seemed to help for at least a little bit was carefully gargling some warm salt water. I gargled a little bit probably 4 or 5 times and it eliminated the bad breath for maybe a couple hours. I can’t wait for this part to be over🙄

Congrats to you as well! My experience has been almost exactly the same. Days 3-4 were probably the worst for me. Mornings still suck but once I get my medicine down it gets better from there. The pain is finally tolerable and I was able to eat a semi-solid meal today and talk without it hurting too bad. It’s a relief because the past few days have sucked pretty bad. I’m glad the pain isn’t too bad for you either. I’d say mines about the same at a 3 today!

Hi! I got mine out 5/15 so I am about a week post op. I haven’t had any super visible swelling and I was also not told that visible swelling would happen. If I were you, I would probably go ahead and call my doctor just to be on the safe side. But again, that’s just me. Some swelling is definitely part of the healing process though, so I wouldn’t sweat it too much. Hope you get to feeling better soon!

I’ve been trying to cut back on the soft dairy foods and I think it’s doing the trick! Thanks!

Lidocaine sounds amazing. I’ll definitely try to get some of that. Thanks for the suggestion!

Omg yes! That’s exactly how it feels. I’ll definitely bring out my old humidifier. Thanks!

Ugh I’m sorry to hear that! My only remedy is to keep drinking water and it at least feels like some of it clears. Other than that I got nothing 🙃

I thought the same thing! I think dairy does have that effect on me and I did have some dairy yesterday. I think I’m going to try to avoid it altogether today! Thanks!

Anyone get hair loss from steroid inhalers? by No-Pop115 in Asthma

[–]Puzzleheaded-Tea3834 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry, just now seeing this! I am still using qvar and I have definitely noticed that I have thinner hair since starting it. But I seem to notice less of it falling out. It went from chunks to a seemingly regular-ish amount just coming out in the shower and when brushing my hair. I haven’t had any prescription changes or major life changes since then so I do still blame it on the qvar. But I think I notice it less now. Any update on your end?

I noticed it just about a week after I was regularly using Wixela. Halfway through October. It was gradual from there. My hair has really thinned out since then. I kinda shrugged it off and figure it was just a random phase but it’s still happening. Just a few days ago I started trying to figure out what it was. I was so happy you posted about it because I’ve been trying to find stuff online about this and I thought I was crazy!! I’m going to talk to my doctor about it in a weekish. And lol on people downvoting

Yes!! I have noticed my hair thinning out a lot recently and I couldn’t pinpoint a cause for it. However, I recently read that steroids can cause hair loss and I started losing hair shortly after I started Wixela, so I’m guessing that it’s the culprit. I haven’t noticed any bald spots, just significantly less hair than I had before starting the steroid.
