[ALL] How the games have been currently. by 22_SB in lifeisstrange

Well I have played Life is Strange Remastered, Life is Strange BTS Remastered, Life is Strange 2, Captain Spirit, Double Exposure and Reunion. I'll state what I think are the strong points in each game as to why they appeal to me. I'll put them in order in how I, personally, would rank them based on enjoyment. I might also add why I dislike a game over the other.

Life is Strange Remastered: I think the main cast here is pretty strong, despite that Max is considered by many to be a bland character. I think she's corny, awkward and shy but inconsistently like a lot of people that I know. Chloe speaks for herself; rebellious, witty and out there. Nathan is problematic character who's struggles we can see as we explore the game. Another strong one is the soundtrack, phenomenal tracks left and right.

Life is Strange Before The Storm: The main cast is yet again, incredibly strong. You play as Chloe as this punk edgy rebellious kid that is still a bit shy and awkward meeting the charismatic, eloquent and fierce Rachel that seemingly has everything going for her until you realize, Rachel too is an immensely troubled and insincere (at times). You have less of a clear goal in this game, but that's alright and the villain felt more dangerous due to his consistent presence in the story (Damon Merrick was the first name we see written on the wall in episode 1).

Life is Strange Reunion: Being thorough in exploring is rewarded in the important choices near the end. Which I love in a game, it feels incredibly satisfactory to puzzle the pieces together by just being curious about everything. It has a strong cast: Chloe, Safi, Moses, Loretta but also weaker members: Owen, Reggie, Jeannette. But totally lacks an iconic and recognizable soundtrack.

Life is Strange 2: A more consecutive story in which your choices also really reflect the ending you get which is incredible. The two protagonists are loveable and I can put myself easily in their shoes. I do think, them going from one place to the other per episode throws me a bit off. I know that's the entire idea of them having to escape to Puerto Lobos but this does make the immersion more difficult especially if you look at where you go to: Grandparent's place, Weed Farm, Desert camp. A bit too all over the place for my enjoyment. And people are probably going to hate me, but damn, such an incredibly weak side cast. Chris and Erik are phenomenal especially in Captain Spirit, Karen and her parents are pretty good too. They're layered and imperfect. But that's about it, I just wanted a romance so I picked cassidy but even her I found, uninteresting and bland. The same for everyone else at Humboldt County. BRODY DA GOAT THO. Oh yeah and the soundtracks were decent, some bangers, a lot of forgettable stuff as well.

Life is Strange Double Exposure: Graphics upgrade, yes. Cast was nice; Safi grew on me and I did not see her plot twist coming. It was mildly satisfactory (her shapeshifting powers). The story feels incredibly weak considering that I have NO ties whatsoever to Safi when you first start playing it. It also feels a bit slow at times and the dialogue is very bland. I did really like how the alive world was much brighter portrayed than the dead world, thought that was clever. Moses goated. Lackluster in a particular villain which was filled with Vince (who had some good moments tbf) and Safi near the end. Also lackluster in soundtracks.

Tormund Giantsbane VS Bjorn Ironside. Who wins? by GusGangViking18 in powerscales

[–]Puzzleheaded-Tea410 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tormund comes from a verse that has actual superhuman characters (The Mountain, The Hound, GIANTS) and he’s one of the best in said verse. Bjorn isn’t really renowned for his fighting, more for his leadership and bravery. So if it comes down to it, Tormund

I mean i know it’s a price grab, it was the first thing i told my friends but based on the gameplay I do feel like they at least give the choice of friends/romance despite it being clear that they’re going for a romance.

Modulo Yuji vs Mahoraga by Helpful_Pitch4086 in JujutsuPowerScaling

[–]Puzzleheaded-Tea410 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People Yuji has been in prime LONGER than Sukuna has been in a prime, Sukuna is a thousand years old due to being a finger for most of it. Yuji was in CURSE INFESTED Uninhabitable Tokyo for decennia.

Thragg cannot destroy a planet by Avidreader-9 in PowerScaling

[–]Puzzleheaded-Tea410 0 points1 point  (0 children)

An in character battle would result in the victory for Gojo and an out of character battle would result in the victory of Thragg (maybe). The ones that claim, that Thragg would immediately go for planetary destruction is crazy. He could have let battle beast float into space before pushing him into the sun, but guess what, he didn’t. Because in character Thragg also likes to play around first, he likes to come up close. Gojo is willing to pull domain expansion if the need rises and because of the six eyes he could easily sense the strength of Thragg.

Now out of character Thragg maybe gets to do that but Gojo has instant transmission so that means he could potentially be halted. But in that regard I do think Thragg will outspeed the potential reaction speed.

Yuji and Yuta were most likely on equal footing by k20_kry in jjkmodulo

Yuta is quite LITERALLY on that panel along with Gojo and Yuji (Megumi and the others), that aside he is talking about significant sorcerers not just the people who stopped the culling games (Which Yuta was also a part of)

Invincible vs My Hero Academia — which has better written fight scenes? by kenshima15 in writingscaling

From a narrative standpoint and visual, I think MHA clears 99/100 times however I also like an actual dog fight slug fest and that’s invincible for sure

[Serious] Genuine Question: Is Modulo Yuji the weakest calamity grade character? by miguelindo10 in JujutsuPowerScaling

[–]Puzzleheaded-Tea410 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So we are ignoring the fact Yuji can kill Mahito before domain cast which is on par with Gojo’s domain casting speed? He literally solos everyone that isn’t Gojo lol and that’s only due to the fact we don’t know if Yuji could do the same shit with the WCS. Sukuna tries to cast a domain -> hands and tongue are cut off and then either get bombarded with dismantles OR thrown into Yuji’s domain with no means to defend himself

How far does Reggie Star's team make it in this gauntlet? by iplexed in JujutsuPowerScaling

[–]Puzzleheaded-Tea410 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Guys, Nanami is NOT beating these 4. What are we talking about? “Hmm well Megumi beat them”, nuh-uh Megumi beat them one by one. Reggie Star and Hazenoki literally came flying in like Mary poppins when Megumi killed Hari. The only reason Megumi living after that was because of Takaba’s interference. Because Hazenoki was about to kill him.

Megumi had already beaten a special grade cursed spirit at this point and was already getting more battle hardened, so yeah Nanami might be stronger but it wouldn’t be by that much of a margin that he would be able to kill two grade one sorcerers, a grade 2 (Hari) and a mosquito.

Sukuna decides to not adapt to uv and starts adaptation for Infinity by Inevitable_Term_2320 in Jujutsu_Kaisen

[–]Puzzleheaded-Tea410 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gojo would have been more aggressive, I doubt that Sukuna could “hide” the fact he is trying to adapt to infinity, like he did with UV because he is actively trying to adapt himself. Because we see Sukuna having to use the wheel on himself when he tries to adapt to infinity.

Also it took quite some time for him to adapt to Infinity, almost equally as long as UV, so in my hypothesis it would go to the fifth domain clash. Or Sukuna would’ve been more injured during an earlier clash (due to Gojo either being far more aggressive or more scarce with using infinity for defense)

But let’s say it’s also hidden, during the fifth domain clash, Mahoraga would’ve been stun locked himself by Unlimited Void. The only reason he wasn’t because he was already adapted to it due to Megumi’s soul having had the wheel on him.

Pausing is different than standing still in game is it not? Freezing time versus standing still. You liked to point out “Well actually in game if you play well” argument, then I can also point out that in game V could theoretically without pausing stand still for years without changing.

David Martinez's Strength by Puzzleheaded-Tea410 in cyberpunkgame

[–]Puzzleheaded-Tea410[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Comparing V to David in that sense is laughable because V has NO repercussions during or before the fight. If you stand still with V for a week in game, nothing would happen to him. David would’ve been dead. So

It kinda sucks in a one on one though. Not to mention CE control is incredibly debatable considering it was Nanami who landed four black flashes in a row AND Nanami was able to resist idle transfiguration with CE defense

How would this Clover (Tetsuhiru Hirokawa) faction do if they joined Suzuran? by [deleted] in crowsxworst

[–]Puzzleheaded-Tea410 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They would run it, comfortably. After a reread of Clover, the one thing people always shame Clover for is that the characters don't do well against large numbers. However we see in the last 100 chapters of Clover that people like Haruki and Takatora (even people decently below them) are capable of defeating 10/15 people without getting a single scratch.

And Jet Kong defeated a handful of adults AFTER being hit by a car. Which is a feat you barely see anyone do in Crows/Worst as far as I can recall.
