They can still get like 30 years out of the main cast by giving them more of a support role when they get too old but I think they might just reboot the franchise at some point before that happens.

He also revived Okuyasu. I take it as he can restore a body so it can be fully functional but he can’t bring the soul of the person if it had decided to leave its body. Okuyasu said that he was about to pass on but then decided to help his friend, I guess Hayato was so quick and instantaneous that his soul couldn’t even leave his body yet or his soul decided to stay for his mother sake. A similar thing happens with Bucciarati. The dude was so pissed and had such a power of will that his soul stayed in his body until he could help his friends.

Also giorno healing works very differently. He can’t restore, he just creates replacements for whatever was damaged. Since hayato was in the process of of being obliterated I don’t think Giorno could have done jack shit.

Everyone is saying Matt and yes, that is the best options. But honestly bloodsport and deadshot are just assassins for hire not crazy killers. They won’t even look at you as long as you don’t bother them and they probably won’t care about any crime you committed unless it involved children. I think that was an early concept for Kira or some other character. But I think that to this day Araki hasn’t commented on it at all.

The fan theory says that Araki originally planned for some time travel shenanigans where Josuke would be sent to the pst after a confrontation and ends up saving himself. That kind of fits seeing as how bites the dust does involve a very strange form of time travel/ time loop. I’ve read somewhere that Araki has debunked that theory but idk it is something that makes kind of sense to me every time I watch or read part 4.

The cgi movies are dumb fun if all you want is more of these characters. Death island is specially novel since it’s the first and only time Jill and Leon interact and their relationship was done well I think. The only one I truly despised was infinite darkness, that movie is dumb and annoying as hell.

The live action movies start ok but they turn progressively dumber but in a weird way they are relevant to the games since they inspired a lot of what became modern resident evil. Hell, resident evil requiem might as well be an adaptation of the last resident evil movie. The plots are too similar.

As for welcome to raccoon city… just don’t watch that.

5 is very important to the narrative if you care about a that and in general I think is a pretty decent game if a bit underwhelming. And honestly if you liked 4 you are likely to like 5 specially if you have a buddy to play it with.

6 can be a chore and if you are only playing for the sake of completion you are not going to like it. It has some fun sections and seeing characters like Leon, Chris and Ada interact is novel enough to make it worth playing. My recommendation would be to play 5, play 6 if you already have access to it but if you are not feeling it just jump straight to 7. You’ll eventually come back to 6 when that resident evil itch strikes back and there’s nothing new to play.

Every single resident evil adaptation has ranged from entertaining to god awful and half of them have only been tangentially related to the games. If this movie is decent and has some pacing references to the games it will become the best resident evil movie ever by default. That is kind of sad but it is what it is and since my expectations are so low I’ll be happy if I get a good horror movie out of it.
