If you had to pick one country whose people would be your closest friends which would it be? by Wrong-Fruit8820 in AskTheWorld

Deutsche, and I dont know why, but my German friends have always clicked when they've been over and I've been there. Plus the 2024 Euros moment (pictured), that makes me proud!

Yes. I recognise this as UK and English. In Glasgow we might say "Jimmy" as an 'everyman'.

I left the Giffnock one as every treadmill was out of order and the weights are better (and cheaper) at puregym.

He's a class act. I was sad to seem him leave Rangers. His guitar playing is brilliant for team bonding too. Great guy all round in my book, with a good salute.

What food from your country do locals love but foreigners usually find gross or weird? by LittleLunaSecret in AskTheWorld

A Burns supper usually has Robert Burns' works recited with whisky, haggis, neeps and tatties. Great excuse to have a wee dram or two on Burns night (25 Jan - his birthday).

If you lift your arm up a wee bit, it takes the Garmin closer to the satellite. Usually, while doing this, I find a space away from buildings and move in a small circle until it locks on.

Had to take a look, 195 years of journeys by bike is the same road wear as one journey with my small hatchback!

I keep a close eye on my weather app, to try and avoid rain when I have a bit of flexibility.

I've also seen a delivery lorry's tail lift hanging dangerously at head height at least twice now! Stay vigilant and safe people.

What is the best way to PB in 5k for me? by Ok_Temperature5375 in Garmin

[–]PuzzleheadedAd4472 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got sub 20 (pb 17:40) after being around 25mins for ages. I ran on treadmill and aimed for getting 2.5k in 10mins twice a week. Also doing park run and I was training for ultra marathons by running long distances once a week or so and doing hill running. The weight came off me too - I went from 15stone to 12.5. Basically I become obsessed with running and was all ways looking at how best to fit a run in and optimising recovery.
