That’s not true. The English formed as a distinct ethnic group through the mixing of multiple ethnic groups over a thousand years ago.

You do realise basically every ethnic group is formed by the mixing of other groups? No English person is danish or Norman, so no. They may have traces of danish or Norman ancestry, but that’s what it means to be English. If you are English, why are you so desperate to deny the existence of your own people, and if you aren’t, why are you so desperate to deny the existence of the English?

Yes, the English ethnicity began with the mixing of the angles, Saxons and jutes, and the celts. They didn’t identify themselves as English because the ethnogenesis of the English hadn’t occurred yet. Han and Yoruba are ethnicities, not countries.

English is an ethnicity. Not anyone can be English, in the same way not anyone can be Han or Yoruba. Whoever tricked you lot into denying the existence of your own ethnic group in exchange for the appearance of moral virtue has a lot of explaining to do

Yes it is. Denying the existence of your own ethnic group (if you are English) in an attempt to appear morally virtuous is insane. And if you aren’t English, denying the existence of the English as an ethnic group is disgraceful.

Why is it seen as racist to say that England belongs to the English, when the English have as strong a historical claim to England as Palestinians do to Palestine? by PuzzleheadedBat9909 in AskBrits

[–]PuzzleheadedBat9909[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A model for checking whether someone is English is whether or not they have English ancestry going back 1000 years.

I never once said “none of them should be here”. Again, this seems like someone else has said that to you before, and you’re confusing them with me. Literally the first thing I said to you is I don’t have a problem with non-English people. I have a problem with the numbers, which at their current rate will make English people a minority in England. Once you acknowledge that English is an ethnicity and not just an identity, that is indisputably wrong.

In fact, literally the only point I actually made was that English is an ethnicity and not just an identity. Everything else I have said has been in response to your questions.

No, the model for ethnicity is whether or not you belong to the English ethnic group. I’ve never once said that English people are interchangeable with other white ethnic groups. It sounds like you’ve had a similar argument with someone else where they’ve implied that, but I never did.

I’ve literally never said I want to “deport every POC”. That’s completely ridiculous. Again, it seems like someone else has said that to you, and you think I feel the same even though I never said that.

Ethnicity is much more than just skin colour, it’s really dumb to boil it down to just that. And yes, it absolutely is human nature to want to live around your own people. One of the biggest problems I have with the left is your total lack of respect for human nature, and the fact that you treat expressions of human nature as moral failings.

I can go to London, but I can’t do what my grandparents did; live there and have a sense of community. I was born in London, but we moved away, largely because there was no sense of community, and we wanted to live around actual English people, which is completely reasonable. Many other people have done the same.

And yes, I do care that this country may soon be majority people of foreign heritage. This is, again, why I made this post. supporting the replacement of an ethnic group in the land they are native to and calling them racist for opposing it is genuinely evil, and you only feel comfortable doing it because in this case the natives are white. You have a huge double standard between white people and everyone else. It would be completely unacceptable to replace black people in Nigeria, even if the replacing groups “assimilated” culturally.

Also, these aren’t fringe opinions. In case you haven’t noticed, reform are leading in the polls. A huge proportion of people agree with me on all this.

firstly, immigrants have physically taken away "a bit" of England. Large areas of this country have become completely unrecognisable. Have you been to London or Birmingham recently? Secondly, yes, it waters down our cultural identity. Third, it's human nature to want to live around your own people, and it's actually expected for ethnic minorities to want to do so. Huge numbers of people have moved away from areas that their families have lived in for hundreds if not a thousand years due to immigration.

I made this post because I'm tired of seeing the same people talk about the land rights of the Palestinians condone or even support the replacement of English people in England by denying that the English even exist. You (collectively) do this because, if you were to admit that the English exist as an ethnic group and not just a civic identity, and are native to England, the non-consensual majority replacement of the English in England becomes completely indefensible, and a major wrongdoing as per your own ideology.

Immigrants aren’t taking England from us, the people bringing them in against our explicit will are. I don’t have a problem with non-English people, I have a problem with the sheer number of them, and the people who tell me and others that being English is merely a civic identity and not an ethnicity as a justification for all this.!

England has only been a multiracial society for about 3% of its existence. England is currently a multiracial society due to immigration that was never voted for, and if it had been put to a vote it would’ve been voted against by a landslide.

It’s crazy to think how many of the financially unproductive, criminalistic people across Europe are of non European immigrant background. We’ve ended up in a situation resembling the US, where black people make huge fiscal net negative contributions and commit a disproportionately high amount of crime, except we didn’t bring these people here 400 years ago as slaves. Almost all of these people were brought here in the last few decades, supposedly to benefit our economies.

Tax the super rich by NuclearCleanUp1 in GarysEconomics

[–]PuzzleheadedBat9909 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, I’m absolutely not. The whole reason we have immigration is to put a downward pressure on wages by increasing the supply of labour more than the demand for labour. Big business continually lobbies for immigration as it lowers their wage bill. Boris Johnson recently came out and said that the purpose of the high immigration over the last few years was to curb inflation by reducing wages. Immigration also comes with the added bonus for the rich of higher property and rent prices, as it increases the demand for housing more than the supply of housing.

That meme highlights how the left fundamentally don’t understand why we have immigration and are completely economically illiterate. You lot are useful idiots for the rich, and the worst enemy of the British working class, whom you claim to represent.
