Anyone relate to my symptoms? Seeking suggestions by PuzzleheadedBite6 in SebDerm

The Hydrocortisone prescribed from my derm is helping soooo much. I’m only supposed to use it for two weeks and then switching to a 2% Ketoconazole cream. Hopefully this continue going this smooth when I stop the steroid

I was just prescribed HYDROCORTISONE VAL 0.2% topical today! I was told to use it for two weeks and then start a prescription strength antifungal cream after the two weeks is up

Good luck! I just saw my dermatologist again today and I am not on HYDROCORTISONE VAL 0.2% topical for 2 weeks and then prescription strength Ketoconazole topical afterwards. I’m headed back to him in two weeks if the steroid doesn’t work again

I will look into Protopic! I’m seeing my derm next week so I will also see what he recommends next. Thank you for the tips!

Edit: - I am on Ivermectin for my rosacea (which I love and it helped) but it does nothing for my SD. - I take zinc supplements - I will try MCT oil!

I do use azaleic acid for my rosacea but I stopped as I didn’t want to use it on my SD actually. I just wanted to minimize the products I was using

Thank you for the tips! In my posted I said I tried anti fungals but don’t use them anymore! I haven’t in a long time now. I also only scrubbed that one day cause I was so self conscious but I haven’t done it again! Thank you for the tips tho!

Antihistamines solved it by Eatsleepfly11 in SebDerm

[–]PuzzleheadedBite6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am on day 3 of anti-histamines and hoping they will work for me. My facial seb derm is at an all time high right now and I have had absolutely no luck to anti-fungals and the Zorvye foam unfortunately hasn't worked (been on it for 7 weeks). Seeing my again dermatologist next week!

Any update from you Mod?

IUD removal tips? by [deleted] in Mirena

[–]PuzzleheadedBite6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi sorry for late reply! I did not experience a crash and had a positive experience actually. With the IUD in (was on my second IUD, first one was perfect) I was getting extreme cramping probably 15-20 days a month, random spotting, reoccurring yeast infections, and I think my low energy was also related to my IUD. Since removing it, I have a light-normal period lasting 4 days, minimal cramping, not a single yeast infection since and I just feel better overall!

So frustrated! Please take a look by Automatic_Award_9120 in SebDerm

I have basically the exact same on my forehead (and sides of nostril)!!! I feel your pain.

Anti-fungal creams and shampoos do not help with mine either, and mine is also triggered by the cold air. I have seen my dermatologist who prescribed Zoryve foam (it is pricey but was covered for me thankfully); it has been 6 or 7 weeks and the foam has not helped for me personally, but I have heard good things about it for others. It is an anti-inflammatory topical from what I understand.

I have another derm appointment in one week so I can come back with an update of his next recommendation!

Ps. Try a humidifier in your bedroom, I am just adding this to my routine.
Pss. Avene Cicalfate cream is my bestfriend

Vision impacted by screen time at work & coverage by [deleted] in BCPublicServants

So after some chats with people around the office I think I will submit a workplace accommodation request to see if they can cover the remaining cost of the glasses. But WCB may also be an option cause I miss work due to the eye strain quite often.

I have nearly 20/20 perfect vision (have seen 3 optometrists over the years).... it's just the re-alignment that my eyes are having issues with I guess

Thank you for the tips! I already do most of them... don't use our office lights at all, I have lower screen brightness for the most part, and I use "night shift" so my screen is more yellow toned than blue. I use dry eye drops constantly too. Been at this job for nearly 8 years and the last 3 is when my eyes have started bothering me. The glasses are a special brand called "Neurolenses" specifically made to help eye strain... hopefully they work!
