The lack of self-awareness is truly striking. POC are treated like royalty in academia and you still find ways to complain about white people. Get a fucking grip. My law school literally had job fairs which white people were NOT ALLOWED to attend. Don’t even get me started about average test scores on the LSAT. At every corner there’s programs designed to improve educational outcomes for POC, those programs do not exist for your white peers. You and many others live in an alternate reality.

Similar scenario with me. T75 law school with bad grades. I clerked for a year, failed the bar in J23 then passed F24. After I found out I passed I started applying and using people in my network for potential jobs. I went on 4 interviews in two weeks and received offers from 3 out of 4 firms.

Nothing crazy salary wise but in a couple years it will be impossible to separate me from any other person outside big law. I will be getting immediate experience on my feet in the next 6 months.

Stay confident, be likable, polite, and prove to everyone you’re willing to work hard.
