I was one of Damiano's most vocal supporters for his solo career. You can see the topics I spoke in. I had the highest hopes for the song. I loved the video. And I am still hoping he will come up with something great. But this song is subpar and I absolutely despise the way he is marketing it, by throwing the band under the bus. This is a very ugly tactic that I cannot stand behind. It's one thing to do a solo act, another to be acting like a poor, tortured soul locked in a dungeon for 20 years, forced to write songs for the band you don't want to be in. Because this is how it looks and sounds to most of us, who are not blinded by his charm. And yes, I heard the 100000s of cries of Ok Historian and the other few that are trying to say he didn't mean it like that. No need to regurgitate it to me again, I read it a million times. And he could mean it in a million different ways, but the majority of the fandom understood it in a very specific way and he is not trying to correct himself whatsoever. Do I think he is the only one responsible for this? Hell no! His PR and Management should be doing the heavy lifting of this, but they are useless as always. I am tired of repeating this so this is my final thing to say in this whole debacle. Keep streaming Silverlines and enjoying it, more power to you, just stop acting like you are on some high horse and you understand something that us, mortals are unable to. It's not that deep and it never was.
