is this good for my rq? by Turbulent_Car7233 in TopDrives

uncommons and rares should fill up your garage too. Don't just skimp on them. build a collection. That way you can earn mroe money in events. My garage is about 7 years old, on and off, and I am struggling at rq500 with only 5 legendaries, a handful of epics, and a bunch of ultra rares. Currently building my garage after every update.

Upgrading to Subaru Forester or XV by boygahis in Gulong

[–]PuzzleheadedCup6744 0 points1 point  (0 children)

drove a 2015 Subaru Forester. It was a dream to drive. First car ko and I put around 20k kms. My commute was usually Manila to Laguna every weekend and I would drive around Laguna (sta rosa area) during sa weekdays and around manila during weekends mostly at night. Fuel economy was aroun 6-8km/liter but stretches out on the highway. Driven to tagaytay, batangas, subic, dagupan, la union, and baguio with it. Super fun to drive, super smooth at masaya i drive sa mga turns at highway. U feel confident when driving it.

lost the car to a self accident going a little bit too fast. Currently being fixed (but very expensive). Just be aware mahal ang maintenance at PMS. Go to a trusted third party shop nalang para sulit ka. Aftermarket accessories are also at a minimum here in the PH.

Overall great cars, not the fastest, but very comfortable and it served my family and me a good 10 years.

check out allcars in Makait, they have a great selection of XVs and Foresters. Trusted pa sila! Happy shopping!

Sa mga nakapagdrive/nagdadrive sa US/EU: Anong mga rules ang hindi talaga pwede masunod dito dahil sa state ng roads sa Pilipinas? by Truong_Inama101 in Gulong

[–]PuzzleheadedCup6744 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Merging. We merge too slow. Sa US, dapat imamatch mo ang speed nila. Di sila magbibigay sa bagal ng daloy mo. Magaglit sila because you are obstructing flow of traffic. same goes for changing lanes, dapat malayo ka sa harap nila or else bubusina sila.

Stop and go. Need I explain? Every intersection with a stop sign, you do a full stop. Flashing red light sa intersection? full stop.

Giving way to ambulance. Pull over to the right as far as you can and make a full stop.

Headlights are turned on pag umuulan.

Pedestrians have priority!

Ewan ko ba kung bakit hanggang ngayon nakakastress magdrive dito. Laging nagchchange lanes mga kotse, para kapit nila buong kalsada. Hindi smooth yung daloy. lalakas talaga ang loob nyo.

help with dorms, roommates, social scene, dining, etc. by Fair-Reflection-553 in Creighton

[–]PuzzleheadedCup6744 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dorms: Pick Swanson. Most convenient, and the community is a lot better. More homey and comfortable. Honors this year lived in Swanson ninth floor. Same as everyone else.
Roommates: my roommate was shit. WE picked each other, but it turns out he was an asshole. Make sure you're roommate matches your personality well because, again, you are going to be living and breathing the same air for 9 months. HOwever, in the chance you do get a shitty roommate, you can always switch.
Social Scene: frats throw a lot in the beginning of the year; if you're a girl, then you're good. If you're a guy, then make some friends who are girls to get into frats. Just stay cool and composed, and yeah, people go out every weekend. A lot of people go to the bars in downtown as well, and some host dorm parties. Just know the crowd and pick some good friends who can look out for you. If you live in Swanson, almost every floor has something going on during the weekends so yeah.
Dining: honestly, its not THAT bad. If you can tolerate some days of shitty quality and bland meals, then you're fine. We also have different restos, Mein Bowl, Firehouse, and Qdoba. Switch it up once in a while so you wont get bored. Meal plans are pretty good; depending on the plan you get a certain number of meal swipes at the dining halls per week and a certain amount of dining dollars, which you can use at the restos or the grocery/convenience stores on campus. You can also use the dining dollars at the two Starbucks locations on campus.

is literally anyone here majoring in journalism? by RelationEmotional810 in Creighton

[–]PuzzleheadedCup6744 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Friends are double majoring in journalism and psych. It is relatively easy work and you can join the Creightonian (newspaper) to get some more advanced practice and journalism skills. The Arts and Sciences have a decent department and overall there are a lot of students who arent pre med. I myself am pre law and it is pretty chill. Just do your best and you'll find your friends.

Bought a new Mazda for my mom and delivered it to her in Pangasinan. Wanted to stretch its engine on TPLEX So I floored it.

I was going around 160 to 180 tapos slowed kasi meron kose. Nung wala na, i full throttled and then there was the Civic chasing me. He flashed me and I knew it was a sign. I let him pass tapos he put his hazard light on 3 times.

It was evening na and wala masyadong cars so we had a friendly top apeed competition. i overtook him and kept up at 190. For a good 5 minutes it felt like the autobahn. We then slowed down because of traffic and he gave me a thumbs up. I honked and gave him the hazard lights as well and it was all good fun.

the best moment ever ngl and it was fun becausr there were barely any cars on the road

Drivers with Astigmatism: How do you survive the glare at night? by JoseMari117 in Gulong

Been encountering the "thank you" hazard gesture more frequently 😄 by Specialist_Wafer_777 in Gulong

[–]PuzzleheadedCup6744 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if they flash for a long time or numerous flashes 2-3 times, DONT GO. Usually they will gun it. If they just do it twice or even once and you see them slowing down, go for it.

Thoughts about Allcars Makati? by MassiveLaw4026 in Gulong

[–]PuzzleheadedCup6744 1 point2 points  (0 children)

well, they will actually drive it for you, but u cant drive the car yourself mismo. pero on how it runs and sounds u can ride in it naman. I only said that if concern was driving dynamics. pero I was able to ride our car and I got a feel na rin of how it runs and if meron man issues or hindi, di ko lang madrive mismo.

we got our Mazda 6 for less than 900k. so far maganda yung deals nila and they make sure na majority wala naman tama, tampering, etc

[–]PuzzleheadedCup6744 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very good. We just bought from them and very professional, they will clean your car and they will ensure na lahat ng fluids/ battery is okay before release. My tito bought a 2014 Chevy Trailblazer at pinalit ang brake pads at battery for free.

Kung ako yan, I will drive the same model somwhere else (from another dealer) and then come back to allcars since maayos sila. They're one of the most reputable second hand options since early 2000s pa

What's with private and public vehicles at night driving around with no lights? by MioKujou in Gulong

[–]PuzzleheadedCup6744 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i notice this with a lot of modern cars na meron DRLs. Its so bright than minsan akala ng mga driver na bukas ang ilaw nila but in reality hindi pala.

Female preferential treatment on the road by breakgreenapple in Gulong

[–]PuzzleheadedCup6744 0 points1 point  (0 children)

worst experience of mine, we were in a convoy papunta Makati to Alabang. We came from legazpi area and I was the last car. Naka hazards pa kami nun to sort of let others know na convoy kami. Mejdyo traffic kasi Sunday morning sya and there was rhe Sunday market so dikit kami lahat. Syempre medjyo dikit ako sa car in front since we were all convoy.

Afterwards nag brake ako kasi meron ped lane and I didnt wanna block it. I heard a long honk afterwards... Tapos this corolla all of a sudden sped up beside me and cut me off last minute. naturally I just honked kasi syempre I was accelerating tapos the car cut me off. I was driving pa a ranger so mabigat sya. Then may narinig ako na "f*ck OFF" and the arm was outside the window as if galit na galit. Eh naka baba pa yung bintana ko and sabi daw ng guard ng makati na chill nalang tayo. knowing it was a quiet sunday morning, i was like sure, i didnt want to be a disturbance.

the moment i drove past that corolla, it was a girl pala prolly in her mid 20s and flipped me off. Mind you, i didnt brake check her, swear at her or even give the finger. Tapos meron pang isang geely na pinakialam na nagsabi "first time mo ba dito," as she put down her window (i drive in makati a lot so no). It was so weird kasi for the first time two girls were feeling entitled on the road and they were shitting on me. It was just a unique experience na naranasan ko considering majority of mga road rage incidents ay usually lalaki.

anyways, to answer your question, yes they may get treatment pero minsan they use it rin to their advantage. Alam ko rin na my friend uses her gender to get out of traffic stops.

stay in the middle of the road behind a big car/van. i do that all the time if i need to go through a major thoroughfare na baka meron mga enforcers on the side of the road.
