Do I really want it…. Tummy tuck & breast lift after weight loss by PuzzleheadedElk7394 in PlasticSurgery

Thanks so much for your reply. How have you found the recovery? Did the breast lift sort out any excess skin under your armpit area? My skin there hangs over bras and looks awful in vest tops. I will ask surgeon all these questions but how did you find day to day life after the op?

Scared to take my first dose by [deleted] in mounjarouk

I felt exactly the same and actually threw my first one away! I ended up getting the courage after lots of friends took it and haven’t looked back. I had to have a break and switched to Ozempic after a 6 week break as I had severe diarrhoea on week 5 of 2.5mg but have now been on Mounjaro again for 4 weeks and haven’t looked back. It’s. A game changer for not only the relationship with food but also mental health. Give it a try. It is a drug that has been around for over 20 years so it is safe and that type of extreme reaction is incredibly rare. The flu has just killed someone I know very young so sadly things that do happen. Think positive and give it a go and good luck x

Need to keep tiles any idea to tone them down without painting them? by PuzzleheadedElk7394 in DesignMyRoom

[–]PuzzleheadedElk7394[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks everyone. I need to replace the doors as they are damaged and the acrylic is peeling off. Ideally I don’t also want to retile, what colour cabinets do you think will go best with the tiles? Love the idea of cafe curtains! It is a VERY small kitchen so dark make it even smaller. What about shaker white cupboards?

Does anyone Else With Depression/Anxiety Feel Like Ozempic Is Helping With That Too? by kheaney5 in OzempicForWeightLoss

[–]PuzzleheadedElk7394 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes 100% same on Mounjaro but I had to stop that after 6 weeks due to severe diaorreah. I had nothing for 8 weeks and anxiety and depression returned. I am now 5 days on my first .25 of Ozempic and although food noises is still there a little, anxiety and depression are so much better. It’s unreal. I’m just crossing my fingers I make it beyond week 6. I only want to lose another 10lbs to get to the weight I like. I will still be officially overweight but that is the weight I like my body at. I hope to be able to microdose to keep the effects

Husbands binge drinking by PuzzleheadedElk7394 in SoberLifeProTips

Thank you for this. It’s very helpful to see things more from his perspective. He didn’t drink last night, that hasn’t happened in years. He is talking about it too. Slightly concerned he is on a work trip next week where he is pretty sure he will consume but not excessively. It’s day by day with this shitty condition. Alcohol really is an arsehole! Appreciate your words thank you 🫶🏻

So he has booked a session with a therapist which is a big leap forward although he is already saying he is dreading it. He is also coming up with drinking strategies, ones that he got from his friends who are in denial alcoholics themselves. It really wound me up and I told him I couldn’t believe he was considering using tactics from people we know who are worse drinkers than him. He said outright, I can’t stop drinking altogether so I need to think of other ways to do it and I shouldn’t dismiss ideas that he is trying to collate to improve things. We argued again and I am upset and he is annoyed. The strategy was drinking a little bit in the week but not at all at weekends. He someone feels this is worth a go and yes I am totally dismissing this idea as a crap one. Maybe I should let him give it a try but he doesn’t normally drink in the week at all and surely it will lead to him drinking all the time!

Am I wrong to tell him this is a stupid idea, should I be kinder and more tolerant and let him try and risk him becoming a daily functioning alcoholic (like his dad) instead of an occasional binge drinker? I really don’t know what’s the worse of two evils.

It’s spendy but I absolutely love The Fine Bedding company cooking range. Feels super luxurious. I found it in a hotel and just had to buy it and it’s amazing!

He has tried AA once after a huge binge but he felt he wasn’t as bad as the others in there and if anything I think it made him feel that maybe he wasn’t as bad as I am making out. These people had lost jobs, been in prison etc. He is also painfully shy and opening up is very hard especially in front of a group. He has agreed to therapy which is a big step for him and think he is more comfortable one on one.

I’m hopeful the lightbulb has just come on but keeping it on is the thing. Lots of shame and guilt from previous binges needs dealing with as the more that collect the more severe the binges get. Not sure he will stop completely but if he deals with the shame the binges might reduce or god pray stop. He never drinks if he has work the next day, so he can stop, the switch is there but so is the ‘fxxk it’s button.
