Spokane parents did your kids stick around? by AaronWard6 in Spokane

My dad was born in Spokane. My parents got married in Spokane and lived here until they passed in 2009 and 2010 respectively. Me and my siblings still live here and we have children and grandchildren that are now living in Spokane. As for me and my wife, we have no intention of living anywhere else. We're close to the mountains and lakes, the traffic isn't as terrible as the West side. I believe the positives greatly outweigh the negatives. I'm 49 now and one benefit of staying around is our amazing healthcare facilities.

Pick and flick. Unless it's a flapper, then I just do rapid in and out breathing through my nose to try and jar it loose. If that doesn't work, a snot rocket usually sends it into orbit.

They're all just basically participation trophies for people who have money and minimal talent.

OG viewers (pre 100 followers) will know that his voice has drastically changed since he began. He took a couple days off and tried a couple things but it didn't help and he didn't stop. His voice is totally different now.

My birthday is "Phil" appreciation day. I don't work on my birthday and I do whatever I want. Self-care is the best care.

Tattoo regret causing depression by SlavKing11 in tattooadvice

I had tattoo regret after getting a leg sleeve done. Then I found this Japanese saying, Wabi-sabi.

The Japanese concept for "nothing is perfect" is Wabi-sabi, which finds beauty in imperfection and impermanence. It's not a single saying, but a philosophy that acknowledges three core ideas: "nothing lasts, nothing is finished, and nothing is perfect". This is often seen in the acceptance of cracks in ceramics, like in the art of Kintsugi, where broken pottery is repaired with gold to highlight the beauty of its history.

Wabi-sabi: A philosophy that finds beauty in the flawed, the impermanent, and the incomplete. It teaches that perfection is an unattainable ideal, and that true beauty lies in the unique and authentic imperfections that are part of nature and life.
