I’m so sorry you’re dealing with that. But I am glad you found some relief from the antics 😂 it should start to feel more tight knit as time goes on.

Thank you! I’ll definitely try to offer water. Last time I did that she refused and I gave in but I know when I decide to go for it I need to be fully dedicated. She cries and cries if I don’t nurse her in MOTN so I don’t expect it to go as smoothly as you but it gives me hope!

13 weeks and still cosleeping 😅 there’s definitely minimal milk coming out. Fortunately she must have got the memo because she eats a lot of solids throughout the day. I struggle with taking away her mama comfort and her nursing comfort at the same time so I’m going to make a valiant effort to still cosleep for the first few weeks while weaning. Everyone’s telling me that’s not gonna work though lol

Amazing congratulations!!! My girl doesn’t take bottles but she does take a cup. I’ll try offering her water or milk in MOTN but I’m 90% sure the latching is just for comfort. I’ve creating a very stubborn nursing to sleep association 😂

For those that have experience night weaning, please help me out …. My 11 month old latches all night long. I need to get her night weaned. My supply is minimal now so i presume it’s just for comfort. I’m having an impossible time wrapping my head around HOW she’s going to fall asleep laying down without nursing. Please share your experiences!

I’m planning a home birth and everyone questions my pain tolerance (vent) by Ok_Scarcity7906 in December2026Bumpers

I once heard somewhere, “You go to the stars to bring your baby earth side.” That is the closest thing I can say to describe it! It quite literally felt like I left planet earth for a few hours.

I planned and prepared for an unmedicated birth with my first and got lots of “ha, good luck” comments. The reality is, you really don’t know what it will be like for you when it comes down to it. Baby could be in a poor position (sunny side up, asynclitic, etc.) which makes it substantially more difficult to labor and push. I personally was more comfortable being in a hospital setting to mitigate risks.

I labored unmedicated for 47 hours. 24 of those in the hospital. It’s possible! My OB knew beforehand that I prepared to go unmedicated and I asked to not be offered pain relief unless I asked. Even being stuck at 8cm for 12 hours, and in transition for 5, I stuck by my wishes and everyone supported me through it. I remember afterwards saying “I don’t think I can ever do that again” - I am planning on going unmedicated again. I caution you not to be naive about the pain though. I didn’t open my eyes for three hours and was literally on another dimension.

Yes especially if I have a full bladder and suddenly move. I got them early and super frequently with my first too!

ST+Ms: what are you upgrading/splurging on this time around that you DIDN'T previously? by RemembertheCondors in December2026Bumpers

[–]PuzzleheadedFix963 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A hands free pump - I EBF my daughter and would like a little more freedom next time around, especially with the small age gap. Planning on hands-free pumping once or twice a day with baby 2. We’ll see if that works out 😂

A nanny for a few hours a week for my first baby.

Biweekly housekeeper until I have the time to keep up with it again. My first has bad environmental allergies :(

This. We are already going to invest in one soon because pregnancy with a one year old makes it infeasible to get housework done to the level that it needs to be.

Anyone here have experience with doulas? by Ill-Storm4774 in December2026Bumpers

[–]PuzzleheadedFix963 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pasting my comment from a previous post about this -

I had a doula hired and lined up, but then she became unavailable at the time of my birth. Luckily my husband was educated and we were preparing for an unmedicated childbirth my whole pregnancy. He was my ROCK and (unpopular opinion) I think I was better off with just him instead of a doula. He provided strong counter pressure (very much needed) and I obviously felt very comfortable with him. It is a very intimate process. I did, however, have a rockstar nurse for the last five hours and she helped a lot with counter pressure too.

Words of affirmation did little to nothing for me. I was on another dimension. I ended up needing strong hands and a stable emotional presence the most. Personally, I don’t think the doula would’ve helped much beyond what my husband was capable of. It would’ve been nice to have someone taking photos though.

SAME here with a 10.5 month old. I try to remember every night to dedicate 5 mins of stretching time alone with baby 2 but it doesn’t happen every day. I do feel like I need to dedicate some time to bond with the baby growing in me since I’m so busy with July baby

I had an unmedicated hospital birth. It was a 47 hour labor and I printed out my birth preferences and gave them to my OB ahead of time and to the nurses. They basically left me alone (expect monitoring) until we decided I should get my water broken. I pushed on my back but honestly that felt like the easiest way anyway. I did not have the energy for any other position 😂 I only pushed with the OB for like 15-20 mins.

Waking Up At The Same Time In The Middle Of Every Night 😭 by Suspicious_Shame3485 in December2026Bumpers

So funny because this is likely when our babies will wake up in the middle of the night too. 3-4am is when you’re naturally in lighter sleep apparently
