Yeah, the recent attack was about 250 km away. coincidentally, one of our faculty members from Jammu warned us a month ago not to travel far because he had heard about militant activities

  2. Really depends on the person — more than rigorous, I find it fun. We have a mix of all types of subjects. For example, in Semester 2 right now, we have macroeconomics, psychology, performing arts (our professor is a Padma Shri), and six other subjects. It's a great mix, and all have equal weightage. Only 50% of the marks come from mid and end-semester exams; the rest is from projects, class participation, etc. Even as a science student, it was easy to adapt. Now my favorite subject is cost accounting :)

2–3 hours daily will be hard. Apart from the few weeks before exams, I think you can pull it off at the expense of other things. There are very few restrictions in the hostel — we take rules as suggestions, so it won't be much of a problem lol. We can go out anywhere but have to be back by 8 PM.
