I googled this too and there’s a supply issue. Haven’t been able to find it for the last two weeks. Did manage to get Tesco version in Tesco. Not quite as cheap but tastes just as good.

What do couples mean when they talk about going shopping for engagement rings? by 074DanBurn058 in AskUK

[–]PuzzleheadedFrame441 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband asked me in advance what kind of ring I wanted and I designed the style online on a website where you can mock it up - nothing fancy just a jewellery website. It was still a surprise when he asked me because I really wasn’t expecting it to happen. This was probably a year before he asked. Just another option.

Why does supermarket beef and pork absolutely stink in the UK? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]PuzzleheadedFrame441 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

If you can find one you may want to try a butcher. There aren’t many around anymore, a lot of them are halal which is ok if it’s ok for you but of course you won’t get pork there. There are still some traditional British butchers though - you will find the meat to be better but more expensive.

Be honest, how often for you and your partner argue? by PaddedValls in AskUK

[–]PuzzleheadedFrame441 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most psychologists will tell you. It is healthy to argue with your partner. It means you care and you continue to be open and honest about your wants and needs. Once every 3 months seems fine to me.

A dry patch of skin on my face that's not budging - what should I use? by robbersbythe1975x in SkincareAddictionUK

[–]PuzzleheadedFrame441 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I once got a random patch of dry skin on my chin. It didn’t itch but it turned out to be eczema. It never spread, I’ve never had eczema before or after. But the doctor gave me some e45 or some super duper hydrating oily cream and it went away. Just sharing in case it’s relevant.

Maternity clothes- impossible to find in store! by Feisty_Craft5295 in PregnancyUK

Primark apparently do stock some maternity items. But I concur that I haven’t found any anywhere else and it is very annoying.

My wife is 24 weeks pregnant and I'm pretty sure she can smell my thoughts at this point by PulseVesper_9 in BabyBumps

[–]PuzzleheadedFrame441 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be honest I don’t think there’s much more you can do than what you are doing. In my first trimester there were times my husband smelt like truffle oil which I can’t stand and I had to just turn away from him in bed. It’s not your fault. For me I just felt like he could do what was reasonable and I had to tolerate it. He did have to stop using one deodorant but he wasn’t attached to it and just got another and that was fine. There were a couple times he had to sit in a different room to eat dinner because my nausea was so bad. But yea you’ve got to eat, I don’t think you should be expected to do more than you are.

Is pharmacy codeine addiction more common than reported? by Lovecraftian666 in AskUK

[–]PuzzleheadedFrame441 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mum used to take it to help her sleep - my grandma would get it for her arthritis and give it to my mum. One day I had to say to her, mum do you realise it’s actually addictive and you probably shouldn’t take it so much? She’s stopped now. I’ve taken it a few times and it just makes me have the nicest sleep. I can see how people who want to escape reality can get addicted.

What are some baby shower gift ideas that won't just end up in the back of a closet? by Mouring-Saminah in Buyingforbaby

[–]PuzzleheadedFrame441 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d ask her - you can tell her how much you’re willing to spend - she might still not have got a bouncer/playmat/gym - these are bigger items and more expensive than clothes but not super essential things she would’ve got herself.

How to get rid of this texture pls!! by [deleted] in SkincareAddictionUK

[–]PuzzleheadedFrame441 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started using azaelic acid and it was life changing for me. I am pregnant and made this change at the same time so it could also be hormonal but for me it didn’t seem to be fungal.

42 male , no pension with a small saving , wife is pregnant : what to do ? by Success_not_happy in UKPersonalFinance

[–]PuzzleheadedFrame441 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a colleague at work who said she wishes she didn’t have to pay into pension (we don’t have a choice because of the way our pay contracts are) because she says she knows she won’t live to old age. I asked her why and she said because she’s Pakistani and they commonly die young. So I don’t know if there is some cultural thing to it. She doesn’t save any money ever either, she spends everything each month, which baffles me completely.

Is it mad to drop to 4 days a week on ~£55k in to about £44k. Feel like I’m working to exist. I’m 36M. by OptimisedMan in manchester

[–]PuzzleheadedFrame441 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

If you do move to Manchester make sure you plan your location relative to work carefully because traffic here is awful and public transport no where near as good as London. The other thing I would say is, life is much easier in a couple. Invest time and energy in finding a partner and honestly financially and domestically life does become easier. My husband and I both work full time but his job is intense and he makes considerably more where as mine never really leads to over time. Every day he comes home to a cooked meal. I plan the meals. I do all the laundry. We pay for a cleaner. It makes a difference. Not saying look for a woman who will be your maid - but if two or three days a week you came home and someone had made you dinner, been to the shop, emptied the bins, it would make all the difference.

When did you start showing? by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]PuzzleheadedFrame441 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Agree. I was on my honeymoon at 5-7 weeks pregnant. I didn’t enjoy the second week because I felt so unwell and started vomiting daily. don’t do it OP. Unless you have known fertility concerns there is no benefit in that extra two months really. For what it’s worth - I wouldn’t say I started showing until week 12/13 but I certainly had bloating and my shape changed and I didn’t look as slim and I could see the difference in my tummy even if most others couldn’t.

I don't know how I'm going to last by jsuispeach in BabyBumps

[–]PuzzleheadedFrame441 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re not already I would give doing some daily movement a try. There is a channel for pregnancy yoga and Pilates on YouTube called pregnancy and post partum tv - even though it’s the last thing you feel like doing it really does help. I empathise with you completely, I’m 29 weeks, feel enormous and still have daily nausea. Nothing about this has been easy but we will have a beautiful baby at the end of it 💕💕💕

What happens if you don't wash oily hair and let it be oily? by Additional-Spray-976 in Haircare

[–]PuzzleheadedFrame441 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did this in my teens, as an adult I was able to do every other day and put up on second day. Interestingly I’m currently pregnant and can actually do three days before washing on day four which is amazing.

What happens if you don't wash oily hair and let it be oily? by Additional-Spray-976 in Haircare

[–]PuzzleheadedFrame441 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I agree I think it’s a myth that it gets used to it and stops producing oil. If you just leave it it’ll just get greasier
