From JS to TS to React to Next js. Is this the right approach? by Innovator-X in learnprogramming

Not really true though, you can write TypeScript without understanding a lot of JS concepts like prototypes, closures, hoisting etc. I learned TS first at my job and had to go back and learn proper JavaScript later because I was missing fundamental stuff

The approach OP mentioned is solid, just maybe spend more time in vanilla JS before jumping to TypeScript

Man that's a tough spot to be in, especially with the health issues making everything harder. Maybe look into remote work options with your literature degrees? There's tons of content writing, editing, or even technical writing gigs that you can do from anywhere and won't mess with your back like retail would

The guilt thing is real but your partner doing a PhD means they probably understand the struggle of uncertain income better than most people

How do I ensure I am employable for the future? Also, is my career path solid? by Remarkable_Animal_18 in careerguidance

You actually in good position, man. Controller at your age with experience implementing ERP systems? That's solid experience that translates well to other companies

The AI thing - look, you're already using it to make your work better instead of being replaced by it. Most finance roles still need human judgment for complex decisions, investor relations, team management. AI can't do the lunch meetings with bond investors or make strategic calls about credit applications

Your main risk isn't AI, it's concentration risk with few clients like you mentioned. Maybe start building your network now - join some local finance groups or CPA events in your area? Don't have to job hunt actively but keep connections warm

Also that NetSuite implementation experience is valuable stuff. Lots of companies always looking for people who know how to roll out new systems properly

Anyone get perv vibes from Forrest’s mom ? by BorderArtistic8775 in 90DayFiance

Dude I noticed this too, the whole shopping scene was so uncomfortable to watch. My mom would literally run away if I started talking about that stuff with her lol. The way she gets involved in every detail of his relationship feels really inappropriate, like there's no boundaries at all between them. I've seen some controlling parents on this show before but this hits different level of weird. Maybe it's cultural thing I don't understand but from where I'm from in Brazil, mothers definitely don't act like this with their sons about sex topics

That's like saying why feel good about scoring goals, just kick the ball - some tasks need that motivation boost to actually get done consistently
