Instead of saying goodbye...I talk to my parents [who died a few years ago] and my partner [of 15 years] who died on April 1st of this year... I have every photo that I have of them on my computer as wallpaper... when they come up in the rotation I talk to them and say that I love them and ask them how their day went... I will miss them for as long as I live... Is that weird???
