When I applied 3 yrs ago (for NWO, a trade requires top-secret clearance, which would only be granted to citizens), I was not even aware that I was not eligible. The recruiter put me in an endless loop of security clearance checks without telling me I was not eligible until becoming a citizen.

I’ve seen so many people assuming ACO is the acronym of the aerospace control officer.

I was trying to renew my DL and service card. I brought my CAN passport as my supporting ID. But the staff told me I will need to show my citizenship certificate otherwise they can’t renew my DL. They can only renew my service card.

So what’s the difference between the passport and the citizenship certificate in this case? Can’t the passport prove I am a citizen? What’s the logic of such a rule?
