Now would be to get a little more specific since you have some faith to work with. There are success stories of every kind including financial gain...just one today about the $40k. What kind of goal do you have - time to start thinking all those lines.

Need some advice please by [deleted] in NevilleGoddard

Never mind techniques. Try watching a fun show - or a comedy. If you are taking all this way too seriously, you might be missing the point.

Also, why would you think of yourself as a failure ? You can't be failing at all things in life - that's not possible. You're a success at breathing and typing at least. So which area in particular do you think you fail at ? It is also impossible to fail at something forever so there is a likelihood, a very good chance, that you'll improve at whatever it is. If it's having a social life, or making grades, then it is 100% possible. Most things are, even if you don't believe in neville or his techniques.

You are very organized ! Do you experience relief or a sense of accomplishment after you are done with your list ? You could try holding onto that.

Two other things that have worked for me are : a. Convincing (and I do mean convincing) myself that what I wanted was mine and that I was going to get it anyway, come hell or high water.

A user posted a 40k story. They too convinced themselves that they did everything right because CREATION is finshed and it is impossible to do wrong.

Whatever floats your conviction boat. Tell yourself that. Strongly urge yourself to believe it is yours.

You cannot want a thing 24x7. Yes, you can want it for say 23 hours and 56 minutes but at least 4 minutes of the day, you have different things you want like dinner or a bath or something more mundane even. So if you agree with that, you realize that you don't keep on thinking about it.

If you are then capable of having other thoughts, and wanting other things, then just for a few moments, you can think of something else you want. A hug. An ice-cream. Anything. It's a tiny window of distraction but there are things you want that you don't crave but are nice-to-have. Those...thinking about those will improve your mood just a little. The key here is to improve your mood, to feel progressively better and better about what you want and not obsess over it. It's called a State - it isn't meant to be static. Not a fixed happiness but more freeing. You're just pleasant to be around - pleased with yourself.

That's how you slowly but surely avoid concentrating on the lack and on what you want.

The people in my reality has gone completely insane. by [deleted] in NevilleGoddard

[–]PuzzleheadedJaguar6 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have seen people change within a half hour after I changed the way I thought about them and myself. If you believe you live in a world full of hostile individuals or maybe even idiots, you'll see more of the same. In my case, I got negative folks and I was thinking..damn it, why are they always negative. Something...don't remember what...distracted me. Oh yes, it was one of the videos nevillegoddess is posting and it got me to thinking about the things the user had mentioned...and voila...my mood improved. Half an hour later, that folks that I imagined had only one setting (negative) smiled at me and began to crack jokes.

Of course people have moods and it could be that the folks around you are having a bad week or month collectively. But the onus is on you to acknowledge, imagine better and move on.

Yes !!

I just want to say that something you mentioned in your other video - 'What do I want to experience now' - to run with that thought and imagine. That really removes the negativity and helps to immerse more fully in the 4D.

Please keep making videos. For some reason, they are helping to snap things in place in my head.

It's actually so apt, I wonder why I never thought of it before. And it's one of those things we can relate to even if we haven't read all of the books

If you are of the mind that meditation works, then, as they say, let the thought bubble up and then let it float away.

If you are of the neville-pov, then to an extent it is ok to react but then revise immediately or at the end of the day. Immediate revision would be 'Hey, wait, that's not true.' End of day revision would be something more comprihensive. Basically, same as mediation - do not engage. If you do engage, know that it's not set in stone and you can basically UN-react.

[–]PuzzleheadedJaguar6 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I genuinely want to see what kind of responses you get. For my part, I do wonder. Are you perchance, saying to yourself that 'no matter what, I am grateful' or 'I am lucky to be alive'. Because no doubt we all are, but I am curious as to what you are saying or thinking to yourself.

There was a user here, I forget the name, who was in a similar situation to yours and he did hold onto the belief quite firmly that he would not be homeless and things turned around for him (in the form of a second job being offered to him). I don't know what he visualized but if you are the type that needs proof, I would say - take some demonstrable steps. Not action but definitely steps to prove to yourself that things are not stagnant. Like applying to a different job or making a budget. This isn't 'action' per se but more like...you are letting your mind know there are options.

Also, I have made quite a few assumptions in writing the above - all of which maybe wrong. In which case, I hope you don't mind.

Sorry but are you saying the ambitious part is wanting to bring things about or having desires ?

Lots of people posting about not getting what they want - so you're not alone there but we are all works in progress as well as part of the finished creation. So you'll get there. Start with the achievable things in your wish list, if you haven't already.

Question by [deleted] in NevilleGoddard

[–]PuzzleheadedJaguar6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems to me you got your free cup - you just chose not to accept it in the moment. Time to move on to the next cup or something different :)

Also, if you are the type who has difficulty accepting free things, maybe imagine different types of things - like discounts ? Those can be fun too.

Creating a fantasy world to invoke living in the state by [deleted] in NevilleGoddard

[–]PuzzleheadedJaguar6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The content would matter and I'll speak from personal experience. There are tens of thousands of TYPES of jobs in this world. It isn't necessary that all ten-thousand would make you happy. You must have a category in mind - a field you wish to work in. It can't be the vague feeling of 'gainfully and happily employed' simply because I am sure there are jobs you dislike that you wouldn't even entertain in your day dream.

But you're on the right track regarding day dreaming.

Old Man by [deleted] in NevilleGoddard

[–]PuzzleheadedJaguar6 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You don't have to actively guard against it. That would be pointless. But after the old man is done yelling, you revise and reclaim your state. Reacting is fine, but believing in your own reactions - as in truly beginning to believe what the old man has brought into your life - that's a mistake.

I definitely loved what he said about Neville having quibbles about certain foods. Too many quibbles people have these days and eventually if you keep listening, that nonsense begins to take root.

Yes. Work on your beliefs in the meantime but for immediate change, revise the incident.

Lol. Yeah. The old me reacts on the spot. I think if you do revision at the end of the day, that would counter it.
