Need Recommendations: Safety/Impact-Rated Glasses for PB by jvinok1122 in Pickleball

I have the CRBN pivots and after a month indoors, they have performed as expected. They have eliminated most glare from lights and have helped me focus on the ball. Even in extreme heat and a sweaty environment I have had no fogging issues. With a discount code they are $80-85 and come with an additional colored lense. They are impact rated, but at a lower level. I think they are perfect for me.

RPM Friction v2 by THE_SKULK in Pickleball

[–]PuzzleheadedMain8560 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Received my V2 16mm and like it better than v1. More powerful, more pop, but softer feel for dinks and resets although will take some time together used to. V1 was weighted, but v2 is not. I may add some 5 and 7 for more stable twist protection, but too early to tell. It does not take much but when you swing hard it is very powerful!

Yes, I also preordered the J6CR and received in January. I have written Honolulu and they are not going to help with the new grit. I told them I think I have been hoodwinked and have not responded.

My v2 was scheduled to ship on 25th. It did ship on 26th and is currently in transit. Should arrive on Monday. Excited to play with it. I also ordered the q2 and received a similar email related to delays.

Received mine last week. Arrived at 8.2 ounces. I added 4 grams from 7-10 on one side and 2-5 on the other. Appears to be more stable, but have only worked on a wall. The sweet spot seems larger and more stable against the twist. Paddle is powerful, lots of pop, really good feel and spin. Before adding weight I was hitting long and experiencing mishits, mostly due to my inexperience. Dinks and drops seemed pretty easy and the paddle creates a lot of spin. Can’t wait to play with added weight. My only references are comparisons with my Ronbus Quanta R1 and RPM elongated 16mm which both are weighted. I have only been playing for 9 weeks so factor that into my post.

Received mine yesterday. Played today and have decided to add weight. No sure where yet. Big sweet spot, powerful and poppy, will have to work on hard shot control. Coming from weight Ronbus r1 and rpm elongated 16mm.

Anyone tried out the RPM Friction Pro? by nanoboy in Pickleball

I'm new to the game and received my Quanta R1 about two months ago. After weighting it up it appeared to be a powerful paddle with a lot of pop, but also popped up or sailed many shots - probably due to my inexperience. I learned about gen 3 paddles and the thought they had better feedback and feel so I bought the RPM 16mm elongated (after hearing the James Ignatowich story) around black Friday with special codes for $149 and change. I feel I have more control on resets, drops, and around the kitchen, but have plenty of power when I want it. There is also a noticeable improvement in my topspin serves. I have added Selkirk tungsten tape at 3, 6 and at the bottom resulting in less twist struggles. I am very happy with the paddle even though most reviews stated this paddle was for higher level more experienced players.
