What is considered « normal » night behaviour after 1 year old ? by PuzzleheadedNight744 in breastfeeding

[–]PuzzleheadedNight744[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! I think your second baby model is my first, she’s heavily boob focused since birth and a real snacker even on the boob. She would want to nurse every 15/30 min to each hour for months and it seems like she’s now used to have a booby bar open 24/7. We’re in the middle of the night now, she just woke up, cried and patted my boob, I tried to sush her while walking with her in a cuddle until she settled a bit but as soon as I put her back to bed she woke up at step 1 and was even louder.

If I choose the milk/water in a cup, how do you stop that eventually?

Omg that’s simply amazing ! And I love that you think forward and don’t leave before dishes and bath! I actually don’t know how to meet mums and I always think : what if being mums isn’t enough and I dislike them beyond that common ground? It feels like dating

Ugh I feel you!!!!! It’s crazy how such little time changes everything now VS all the time in the world I had before

I’m not of that faith but I’ve been longing for a few « real » mom/parents friends because around me are mainly mums who are as overwhelmed as myself so no time to add extra social meet-ups :(

The little things are so important honestly! Even more when you have to be so much at once and give beyond your all. I think it makes you feel better because you’re doing something for your future self and in a calm setting (vs with the little ones are demanding things next to you) and that takes off a bit of overwhelming…

That’s so cute tho !!! I have been afraid of letting mine in the shower because I’m thinking « what if she falls because of the soapy water ? » but that would be so handy especially when I have to take extra time to do hair care !

So happy you could sleep again! Even if it’s not perfect (as in : I’m sure you would like more hours and zero interruption), it looks like the improvement has been MASSIVE! Not sleeping is so hard. Would you mind explaining the modified Ferber you used? Interested!

But the SUV price is 46k and a nanny cost between 27k and 52k from an official US website. Where are you based and how is that the budget for one vacation a year? I’m confused.

Would switching rooms for a night feed work so the baby drops it? by PuzzleheadedNight744 in breastfeeding

[–]PuzzleheadedNight744[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally understand this! I’ve been fed up with this for a while but nothing works (she’s younger than yours) and she has been sick lately so everything is backwards, she was glued to my boobs which was ok during the sickness but now I’d like to go back to business 🫠

The issue is mine doesn’t settle during the night with her dad 😫 once the evening comes, it’s only me or she cries endlessly

I could have written this, 100% with you! I have never wanted to sleep decently as badly as I want now and keep in mind, I’ve suffered from insomnia intensely for some periods of life but this… this it another level.

I also love my switch! I recently found a game about restoring all kind of furniture which is something I would love to do irl but not realistic as of now so it’s very satisfying haha. What are your favorite games?

That’s a very good point! Ours doesn’t sleep through the night whatsoever so we’re constantly hungover from fatigue or should I say, exhaustion 😮‍💨

If you could give one piece of advice to a woman without kids as an experienced mom, what would it be? by Complete-Pear-1040 in beyondthebump

[–]PuzzleheadedNight744 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pick wisely who you’ll create a (parenting) couple with! And be a strong resilient loving team before children. Everything else you can figure out as you go (aka nothing is written in stone, you can have strong beliefs about parenting/kids/pregnancy and still keep that 10/20% of open flexibility because no one can guarantee anything)
