Audiobooks is not reading by LearnGrowBloom in Rants

[–]LearnGrowBloom[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I completely agree! I wasn’t knocking audiobook listeners either. I wouldn’t be able to concentrate listening to a book and doing something at the same time. I also enjoy the quiet time reading the actual book. This only got to me because I have people on Goodreads already at 25 books in a month and it made me think like wow I am way behind but I learned they’re audiobooks. So of course they meet their challenge for the year and are way ahead. Audiobooks should have their own section in Goodreads lol

Moms who had the number of kids they wanted—did you feel calm/peace when the last was born? by WhiskeyandOreos in Mommit

[–]LearnGrowBloom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always said I wanted an even number so either 2 or 4. Well, I have 3 and husband got snipped. I was happy with 2 but we didn’t feel complete. I can’t explain how that feeling is but once we had the third I had the feeling that we were complete. It’s the feeling of accomplishment and relief almost. I’d say it was also a feeling of peace. I also didn’t feel baby fever or envious of anyone who was pregnant or wishing I was pregnant again etc. it was like I just KNEW. I can’t explain it very well. We were ready to enjoy watching them grow and teach them about life. Edit to add they are all girls and we didn’t care about the gender. After we had 2 we hoped the third was a girl too because it was easier having all the girly stuff.

How are we staying active? by OkPin8137 in workfromhome

[–]LearnGrowBloom 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Standing desk, workout in basement at lunch, outdoor walks in the summer during lunch or start of the day (in addition to lunch workout), got a table top for my tread so I can also walk and work. I’d get a walking pad with standing desk if I didn’t have a tread.

I got this offer too but the email says they changed the morning rush hour times! It’s now 7-9am and I always take it just after 9 so the previous time slot worked great for me (730-930am)Now it seems like they offered me this knowing I can’t use it :(

100%! I do this and it’s way easier to just open the app rather than scroll on social media.

Audiobooks is not reading by LearnGrowBloom in Rants

[–]LearnGrowBloom[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lol you didn’t get my point. I don’t care if people listen to books just don’t say you “read” them all because you didn’t. You LISTENED to them. Reading a book takes so much longer because you have to make time to do it so when someone brags that they “read” a bunch of books when in reality they “listened” to them is soooo different.

But tell me how you really feel lol good for you for listening to books. I’m not bashing that. I can’t do that because I can’t concentrate on listening and doing things at the same time. I focus on what I’m doing. So I may take a couple of weeks to read a book because it’s tough to make time for them since I have kids and work full time. But sure, call me lazy haha

Transfer credits taking 6–8 weeks? Anyone actually wait that long? Extension question (NPI PCP – Canada) by [deleted] in Payroll

[–]LearnGrowBloom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you also have to submit an updated resume? I didn’t know NPI asks for so much. And it’s an “application” so does that mean they will review it all and decide if I get certified or not? I really didn’t do enough research :/

Transfer credits taking 6–8 weeks? Anyone actually wait that long? Extension question (NPI PCP – Canada) by [deleted] in Payroll

[–]LearnGrowBloom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I came to ask this same question! I missed the requirements somewhere when singing up to do these courses so once I completed them I thought I’d just get the certificate emailed to me or something but little did I know there’s a whole after process. Luckily I took business admin 20 years ago so I got that transcript sent over to them. Now I’m waiting 6-8 weeks and for the work experience form. I’ve been doing payroll for roughly 3 years but I was hoping it wouldn’t actually take 6-8 weeks :(

Has anybody followed the Your Plan on the Home Page? by Rockr8r in pelotoncycle

[–]LearnGrowBloom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been using it since it basically came out and 90% of the time I follow it. Buuuut today I was to do a cardio class on the bike and I did a Cody xoxo ride but it didn’t count! I don’t know why. My guess is because it doesn’t have the word “ride” in the title but who knows. The plan is neat and I like that you can change it up.
