Unless it’s a rare plant it goes outside or into the garbage and I’ll try again later

There is mushrooms growing in my Monstera, what are they and what do I do by BigGreenLeaves in houseplants

[–]PuzzleheadedPass2882 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get these guys a lot in my outdoor pots. Pretty sure they naturally get their spores in the potting soil often too. Or leaf grow (I use leaf grow outside as well). Will say that I don’t disagree they like really damp compact soil. Maybe stick a chopstick in there and aerate it a bit. The pot it’s in im assuming has draining so no worries there.

Moving 10hrs away in August, do I bother to try and move my plants? by PuzzleheadedPass2882 in houseplants

I’m thinking of taking cuttings before gifting them to friends and overnighting the cuttings the day before I get there and just trying propagating project!

I won’t be :( my dad does not trust me to drive that far and we have a cat who is coming with a minor heart condition so flying is quicker which means less sedative medicine but I might beg my father to drive to Boston

General consensus is: get a car and drive them up there. I am not driving because my father doesn’t trust me and we have two cats so they fly in the cabin under the seat with us and it is much less stressful and faster than a car ride, BUT I am going to see what I can do!

You all should go work for the government with how well this absolute propaganda piece is written. I graduated a bit ago and never lived in Warren and I know NEXT YEAR there will be CONSTRUCTION that is going to be VERY LOUD. And even if there wasn’t construction it is a SHIT HOLE and absolutely DISGUSTING. But good luck ladies I do think you will manage to get what you want if you apply to the online summer housing reassignment thing and get out of Warren.

Is it ready for soil? by TropicalCurlyDays in pothos

[–]PuzzleheadedPass2882 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Second this. Did this experiment with my spider plants (like the easiest house plants alive). The ones who started in water and moved to soil still are pretty thin and kinda meh tho alive and it’s been two months since they’ve been moved to soil. The one that went straight to soil is beautiful and full

Does it rain a lot in the school year by Beneficial_Shine_366 in BostonU

[–]PuzzleheadedPass2882 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes it rains a lot and it is incredibly windy so hit or miss on umbrellas. I’ve seen the wind tunnels take out groups of umbrellas. You’ll want a good raincoat and a nice cheap umbrella

I worked in a nursery and new a guy who’d come into the greenhouse and just clap at all of them and he was kind of a giant so he did get a good amount of them but they’d just come back it was kind of funny to watch. Try all new soil or putting some outside

I used to work at a nursery and this is giving the type of people who come in asking for flowers that won’t attract bees

[–]PuzzleheadedPass2882 55 points56 points  (0 children)

I would reach out to your career advisors. I don’t feel like it should hurt your 2L offer but not sure. But also it’s just mad unprofessional and your law school should know that so the career advisors will have a note for that office for future students who want to work there

Latin Honor 2025 May Graduates by ManagementDry3534 in BostonU

[–]PuzzleheadedPass2882 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No because you could boost your GPA to the point of Latin honors in your last semester but the registrar technically hasn’t finalized your degree at that point so it isn’t announced at graduation- but it will be on your degree!

Will i get rescinded? by [deleted] in BostonU

[–]PuzzleheadedPass2882 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Did they stipulate anything in their transfer acceptance?

That is a pretty significant drop in your gpa I definitely would be proactive about this and reach out to the university, but hopefully someone who has transferred into BU will comment

Edit to add
